Where do I start? We went there as a family of four (2 kids) end of july. The property is on a hilltop and has breathtaking views. Right from our booking and through the journey from London, Fontana, the hostess, was in touch with us. She received us when we reached the property. Along with Vasiliki, she helped us get sorted with check in, offered us a quick drink and showed us the room. Great check in experience!!! Fontana and her husband have poured their hearts in this property. Everything and every experience is very personal to them and they go out of their way to keep you happy. There's so much of personal touch we got to see and experience. The rooms have a great character and are done very tastefully. The open into a veranda with a seating area and a pool which the kids loved. For this area itself, we didn't feel like stepping out the first day. Don't miss the breakfast! It gets served in your room at your chosen hour and man, was it sumptuous! It's a mix of hot and cold items which we never got bored of and I can't fathom how much the team puts in getting it served to each of the guest rooms. After a long day, there were days we chose to have dinner at the property and that too was exceptional. I had not booked a car but Fontana helped me arrange one, very quickly. So net-net, hassle free, top notch experience!!!

We are sad to be leaving tomorrow but we’re already making plans to return. If you’re considering a stay here, do it and thank me later

Where to begin? As soon as you arrive, the views combined with the friendliness of the owners and staff make you feel at peace. Every detail is thought of - from the comfort of the sun loungers and pool-friendly beanbags, the angles of the terrace walls to afford privacy without impacting the view, the toiletries and layout of the villa... I haven't got a single complaint or constructive criticism. Having read other reviews, we expected a good breakfast but the food was sensational and the choice was extensive, always delivered to our veranda with a smile. The staff were all exceptionally kind and friendly, giving the impression that nothing was too much to ask for. I really can't recommend this place enough. I've been fortunate to visit some amazing places, but this accommodation is truly something special. I usually don't like to visit the same place twice, but might have to make an exception here...

I have been waiting a few weeks to consider how I could possibly write a review that conveys just how wonderful our stay was at La Grande Vue. I am someone who tends to read reviews (particularly on Trip Advisor) and I book my own travel while also relying on travel websites and FB groups for feedback. It's something I enjoy; the excitement of figuring out our itinerary, how we will spend our days as a family and watching the plan unfold. This was our first time visiting Greece (we have been to other parts of the world, especially Europe as a family) from the United States. We settled on Naxos and decided to spend 12 full days on Naxos instead of island hopping. Because of this plan and given the landscape of Naxos, we wanted to mix-up our stay with "relaxing villa" and then another hotel within Chora to be within walking distance to the village, restaurants, etc. I spent quite a bit of time researching places to stay on Naxos and kept coming back to La Grande Vue; from the description, the reviews and location, it sounded like the perfect spot. We traveled with our two teenaged daughters, my husband and I both work corporate jobs and we wanted a place where we could truly relax (while also celebrating my upcoming 50th, as well as our daughter's 16th and 18th birthdays). La Grande Vue exceeded every single expectation and hope that we had in mind. From the minute we arrived and were greeted with fresh lemonade, to staying in our amazing two story villa (Storge) which included plenty of room for our family, incredible views of the sea and sunset in front of us and mountains of Naxos and sunrise behind us, it was truly breath-taking. The owners, Fontana and Giannis, take so much pride in their impeccable villas which is clear not just in the layout, small details and cleanliness of the entire villa, but also in the incredible level of customer service. Every single person we interacted with were kind and went above and beyond, whether it was dropping off our (amazing) breakfast in the morning, answering our questions about some travels within Naxos, or just generally being available in a way that felt very natural. You never felt like you were bothering the staff for anything and everything was delivered with a smile and true kindness. I could go on and on (clearly) and don't want to ruin any surprises of the small gestures/touches that we experienced from the staff for others who will stay here in the future, but they made our birthday celebration so special with a huge feast and birthday cake, the breakfast that was brought to our villa each morning was delicious (with many choices and accommodations for food allergies including finding special vegan sorbet for her!) and the memories we created as a family just sitting and watching the most beautiful sunsets we have ever experienced will be forever lasting. The expansive veranda in the Storge villa, along with the private pool, lounging chairs/chaises, as well as the upper roof deck with additional views were just perfect. There were days that we just lounged by the pool and took in the views, other days we spent on the beaches in Naxos and came back to relax in the pool and have dinner on the veranda (they serve lunch, dinner and have a bar as well). The proximity in Vivlos also lended itself well to going into the mountain villages and provided such a great perspective on the beautiful island of Naxos. It was quiet, calm, and peaceful which was exactly what we needed at the start of our vacation together as a family. We did not rent a car; I know that's strongly encouraged on Naxos, but we hired cabs/drivers who were more than willing to pick us up there (it was 15 mins without traffic from Chora) and bring us to the beaches, the cooking class, villages, etc. As we checked out, I remember giving Fontana a hug and telling her she must be so proud of what they have built there and I meant it. We live in Massachusetts near the shoreline and have access to beautiful beaches and sunsets, but this was something completely unique that we will never forget. Thank you to the entire La Grande Vue staff for an amazing week!
