Stayed 11 nights in July and checked in late but wasn’t too impressed to start with but things improved and we were pleasantly surprised in the end. Our air con wasn’t switched on for our first night after paying on check in. Reception sorted it the next morning, air con was ok but the front cover fell off and hit my husband so he fixed it back on and we moved his bed away and laughed it off :-) We booked ‘superior’ but the only great thing about our room was the sea view and we were lucky we didn’t have any birds nests on our balcony :-) We booked half board, didn’t bother with breakfast as we knew it was only continental but used the snack bar mid morning which was reasonably priced and the food was great. We ate out at night a few times but as with other ‘newbies’ we were confused about the half board arrangement. Expected a buffet but it turned out much better :-) there was a half board set menu to choose from (2pm to 7pm), everything was cooked fresh and was lovely but also they have a ‘full menu’ to choose from which had more choice and they reduced the price by €12 per person which was great. I just feel that all this should have been explained on check in. We stayed by the pool most days and always found beds after 10am no problem. We used the pool most days, bit cold on entry but fine once you were in :-) The staff were all lovely, although the man on reception on our evening check in could have been a bit more helpful and jolly :-) The pool bar was the best part of our stay, had a really good laugh with the barman (George I think) he was the best and I can’t wait to return in September to carry on the banter :-) we’ve booked Half Board again due to the food being really good (big portions) although there are plenty of lovely places to eat out we found a good half board deal with Love Holidays so we booked it quick lol I love the whole feel of Kardamena. I first came in 2004 and loved it when it was party central but nowadays it’s a beautiful chilled village that has everything, bars shops restaurants and the harbour and square and all the locals are so friendly, September will be our 3rd visit within a year :-) can’t wait to return in 66 days

This was our 7th or 8th time staying at kris Marie, the staff are lovely and always friendly, clean rooms that are serviced every day although they are dated. We have eaten in the hotel in the past and the food has always been really good although this year we found our selves leaving the hotel so we could get WiFi as the hotels was diabolical, so we left the hotel and ate out in the village, we did let the hotel staff know but nothing changed. I’m not glued to my phone on holiday but would have been nice to see if I had any messages from home while I was away. We have booked different accommodation for next year.
