We have just returned from a 2 week stay and had an amazing holiday. Kardamena is a fabulous place and can't wait to return. Whilst writing this review, I am mindful that this was not an expensive holiday and overall did give good value for money. Pro's - great location just a few mins walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants and about 15 mins to centre. The hotel is spotless, the pool area is great with good quality and plentiful, comfortable sunbeds, the staff are great, helpful and friendly. The rooms whilst basic and dated are clean and a good size. The mattresses were brand new and very comfortable. Towels and bedding changed constantly throughout our stay. The air con was excellent. The food and drinks from the snack bar are great and very reasonable, breakfast whilst basic is always fresh and plentiful and an excellent 'library' if you need more to read. We paid €200 on arrival for tourist tax, safe and air con which was fine and expected. Con's - I have to start with the bathroom, tiny, very, very dated and whilst clean always looked dirty and the constant smell of sewage/drains was very unpleasant.... but the shower wow... the only way I can describe it is a garden hose that has split multiple times and therefore the water never really reaches the shower head and just sprays the entire bathroom, more water comes from the ceiling than the shower head, due to this the bathroom is constantly floooded, its also tiny so if you are any larger than 5ft and 8st its a squeeze... the toilet is also behind the shower curtain. This seemed to be a common scenario owing to the amount of people queuing with their washbag and towel at the pool showers, these were better but they were 🥶 We had a room on the ground floor which for us it turns out was a big problem, the ground floor rooms are all at reception, this is also where the staff room and cleaners arrive for their shift around 6am every single morning and had absolutely no consideration for anyone sleeping, loud doesn't even come close... on top of this you have people arriving back late at night so sleep for us was a luxury and hard to come by. Our view was of the car park (wasteland) a skip and very little, if any, sun. Although there is quite a lot of derelict buildings around the hotel so unless you book a pool/Seaview room I don't think the views would be any better but would guarantee a room above ground floor. There is no USB socket as advertised in the rooms and only one usable plug socket so an ext lead is a must, we only had 2 coat hangars, and the wardrobe clothes rail is not reachable for the average person. Would I return? Yes, If there was better rooms available at the time of booking, which there wasn't this time thankfully we had brought an ext lead and a ton of travel coat hangers.. and have arrived home desperate for a proper shower and some sleep 🤣

Well what can I say about this hotel. We arrived late at night but check in was a breeze. We did have to pay for room tax and air con for the forntight which came to about 170.00. We arrived at our room on the 2nd floor we did have a partial sea view which was lovely. Room was small but was ideal as a base as we didn't plan to spend much time in there only to sleep and the beds were comfortable. We did ask for extra pillows. The only thing I can say about the rooms was the shower. Our bathroom was soaking after every use, also could do with more plug sockets. Only had 2 in the whole room. I would advise to bring an extension lead with you other than this the room was more than suitable for our needs. Pool area was spotless and always plenty of beds. If you do need a parasol I'd suggest you go down earlier because there isn't many umbrellas at the pool side. Breakfast was continental so didnt bother after the 1st day but the snack bar by the pool does lovely food and opens around 10am. We had a lovely stay here and would definitely stay again. As the saying goes if you're looking for a more upmarket hotel then this isn't for you. It's a 3 star, very basic but does everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

Well, i’ll start with the positives… the location is excellent, the hotel is a short walk from the beach and many, many bars and restaurants, so for that it was perfect. The pool area is lovely and sun loungers are comfy. The hotel is clean. The negatives… when we booked we requested a pool view and even emailed the hotel ourselves, giving our details and requesting this, however we were on the first floor with a view of a car park and a skip. We asked if we could change rooms, the night time reception staff were lovely and told us to come in the morning to hopefully be moved but the woman on reception in the morning was quite rude and unhelpful and sent us away 3 times … eventually she said she would move us if we paid extra, so we ended up staying where we were. No tea / coffee making facilities in the rooms, no kettle so handy to know if you’re traveling with a baby, I believe you can hire a kettle but it’s an extra charge. The rooms are very dated, only 2 x plug sockets in our room and the tv was plugged into one, so would recommend taking an extension lead. No coat hangers in our room when we arrived, asked the unhelpful woman on reception who did nothing but I bumped into a cleaner and she gave us some. We had a small fridge but no freezer compartment. The showers are terrible, water goes everywhere and the shower curtain is neither use nor ornament. Breakfast is continental, toast, cereal, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit.
