Read reviews carefully, if your a family pick a different hotel. Lovely holiday with pros and cons. We wouldn't return however did make the most of our time and had a lovely holiday. Food - not a lot of choice; always cold. We ate out a lot as the food was so poor. Nothing for kids, my children aren't fussy so we did not struggle when we did eat here however I think a lot will due to no kids options. A family hotel should maybe put pizza nuggets or burgers or something for them even plain chicken or meat, fussy children will struggle. No toaster on a morning. Tea and coffee served to you which is also cold. You're told where to sit - large families like ourselves crammed onto a small table in the middle of everywhere with no space. For a larger hotel the dining room is manic. Waiting staff quite polite however slow with drinks. Once you have had your last mouthful of food your plate is taken away before you even have chance to swallow it. Restaurant managers have a lot of stick on here about rudeness, couldn't be further from the truth they were both polite friendly and efficient. Made us feel welcome and were extremely polite especially with the children. Pool bar served nice food so that was great to try. Location - located on a hill, we were on the top floor with beautiful views. Mini busses are available to take you to and from your room. The hotel is beautifully presented with gorgeous grounds. Over the road is a beach where you have to pay for the sunbeds. Rocky when entering the sea, beach shoes are a great purchase. Sea is full of lovely fish close to shore so take a snorkel! Water Sports also available. Don't order a taxi-you could be waiting upto 90 minutes for one. Bus stop outside hotel takes you into the centre for 2 euro per person. Staff- polite and very hard working. Pool bar service can be slower. Younger lady is who takes the money at the pool bar is very rude to her staff in front of people. But all in all every person we spoke to was lovely. Rooms - big and spacious. Cleaned daily. Large balcony. We were next door to family and the balcony was a large shared one which we didn't mind but could be uncomfortable if you don't know your neighbours! Fridge in room and tea / coffee facilities Pool- lovely large pool area and great baby pool. Plenty of sunbeds available at all times of day. Clean and grounds maintained. Entertainment - what a shambles. By far the worst entertainment we've ever seen. Mainly done by in house staff and honestly don't waste your time watching it. Kids mini disco was terrible. Kids club horrendous. Music blaring round the pool - turn it down! TIPS : use the bus don't order taxis Take water and snacks if on a late flight Stock up on water from supermarket Buy beach shoes

“Good Family Holiday – But Read Our Tips Before You Go!”

Pros: Location: Just 10–15 minutes from the airport. Around a 20-minute walk to Kardamena, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Pros: Location: Just 10–15 minutes from the airport. Around a 20-minute walk to Kardamena, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel has its own beach across the road, and the Aquatica Water Park is only a 3-minute taxi ride away. Food: Excellent variety with fresh bread, salads, fruit and plenty of choice at every meal. Pool: Large pool with plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day. Rooms: Spacious, clean and some have fantastic views of the sea. Rooms include a kettle and cups, but bring your own tea, coffee as they are not supplied. Hotel layout: As the hotel is built on a hillside, a free minibus runs day and night to take guests to their rooms if needed. Staff: Waiting staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the minibus drivers. Cons: Reception staff: Could come across as abrupt and unfriendly, although any issues we had were resolved quickly. Evening dress code: Men must wear long trousers for dinner, even in very hot weather, and entry is refused otherwise!! Drinks: Bottled water at dinner costs €3, while the same bottles can be bought in town much cheaper. Outside drinks aren't allowed in the restaurant. Beach: Although it's the hotel's private beach, sunbeds cost €4.50 each per day. Pool- When windy they collapse all the umbrellas, so nowhere shaded to sit. Top Tips: Buy snacks, drinks and essentials in Kardamena, as the hotel shop is much more expensive. Avoid keeping food in your room, as we experienced an ant problem. If possible, request a room lower down the hill. We were in the 400 block, which was manageable on foot, but higher rooms rely more on the minibus. Bring towel clips—Kos is often windy. We arrived at night and missed the evening meal and weren't even provided with bottles of water when we arrived so be prepared if you have a late flight. Overall: We had a lovely holiday with just a few minor inconveniences that didn't spoil our stay but we wouldn't be in a rush to go back.
