We had the most amazing holiday at the Sovereign Beach in Kos. Fabulous hotel, great location, amazing staff, gorgeous weather and a beautiful island. We got upgraded, for no reason, to a bungalow with a swim-up pool which was fantastic and completely unexpected. The accommodation was cleaned daily to a high standard. It was lovely having the choice of the main restaurant, the pool bar and the Taverna near the beach for variety. There was so much choice of food with an additional daily grill with meat and fish and freshly made pizza in the main restaurant. The all inclusive with drinks made it a very easy and relaxing holiday. Tania, the restaurant supervisor was brilliant, spotting new people and showing them around. Despite being towards the end of a long season she and her colleagues had a ready smile and were so helpful and kind. We booked a massage in the Spa and Daniel, the Spa manager was brilliant. He had multiple skills around health and wellbeing, including the ability to conduct bio-scan to help people identify the root cause of disease. This is way more than you can normally expect from a Hotel Spa. John at reception was also very helpful and the driver of the hotel bus who drove us in and out of Kardamena. The evening entertainment was varied and top quality and we very much enjoyed limpopo who were the most phenomenal acrobats we had ever seen. We didn't meet the General Manager but they must be fantastic to run such a great hotel We travelled with Jet2 and went on 2 cruises... the Nysiros one was awesome and the tour guide, Janis was so knowledgeable and interesting. The 3 island cruise was also entertaining with a good vibe on the boat with music and dancing. The countryside location was nice and an easy walk along the beachside into Kardamena. We hired a scooter from AG motors, which was a new one only used this summer, and enjoyed touring around Keffalos and Paradise Beach. The bubbles rising in a specific area at Paradise was a very interesting an unique experience. We have so many beautiful memories of our first visit to Kos ands would highly recommend this hotel and location.

“Great Drifters tribute act”

I really enjoyed my time at the Sovereign Beach hotel. The food was very nice and the restaurant service always friendly and helpful. Drinks were on tap in the main restaurant which I liked. The restaurant near the beach served lovely gyros and salads but I thought some more variety would be nice... more

I really enjoyed my time at the Sovereign Beach hotel. The food was very nice and the restaurant service always friendly and helpful. Drinks were on tap in the main restaurant which I liked. The restaurant near the beach served lovely gyros and salads but I thought some more variety would be nice. The small beach area was a hop and a skip across a very quiet little road and this is where we spent our days. The sea was rocky (take beach shoes) but very warm in August and quite lively at times and it was interesting to watch the Greek army practising their water skills every day and launching their boats right next to us. The free sun loungers were a godsend and there was a small hut offering watersports but it was rarely used. The nearby town of Kardamena was made up of small streets full of ‘tat’ shops and a harbour but was definitely worth a look, I walked there from the hotel one day, it was a pleasant enough walk along the dusty little road and I felt very safe by myself. The evening entertainment was a little bit hit and miss but we really enjoyed the male Drifters tribute act who sang songs not only from the Drifters but also more modern acts such as Bruno Marrs, they were very talented and got the crowd going. I did join in with the aqua fitness and tried to join yoga and stretching although it was annoying to find the activities didn’t always start on time or sometimes not at all. The entertainment team were not dressed in uniform and it was difficult to differentiate them from holidaymakers which made it tricky to spot them when they randomly moved yoga to a different location down on the beach hence nobody joined in with them which was a shame.

Ok so this hotel is comfortable although a little dated in appearance in some areas and some ways they operate. The staff are helpful and polite and the food I have to say is really really good fresh fish everyday different grilled meats and hand stretched pizzas with a pasta station and a huge selection of deserts. All the food was brilliant and was the stand out feature of the hotel the pool area was ok but the pool was ice cold but the beach was fine quiet and small with sand and crystal clear water but a tip is bring reef shoes to make it easier getting in and out the water as there is some rocks all in all a very good stay

“Nice Hotel”

We are a couple who stayed a week in room 135 from 29th September. We booked the All inclusive package through Easy Jet. We upgraded to a sea view room and requested a top floor room (through Easy Jet). We arrived around 8pm at night, was greeted at reception and directed to our room. On entering the room it was clean, tidy and spacious. We went out to the balcony and I could see that we had a side view of the sea which was very disappointing, we were also giving a 1st floor room rather than the 3rd floor. The balcony was also very tiny about 6ft x 5ft. I would highly recommend if you book this hotel. do not upgrade to a sea view, all rooms have a sea view but obviously the best views are overlooking the pool and the sea at the front, which what we would have expected as we had paid for it. We spoke to another couple during the week and they had a 3rd floor room overlooking the pool and sea and never upgraded. So don't waste your money. Apart from this disappointment the hotel is very nice. The staff are great, special mention to Sam & Karen at the pool bar. The rooms are cleaned every day. The restaurant is very clean and again the staff are great. The food is typical AI, always found something to eat so no problems for us. The pool area is clean and tidy, always got a sun bed, no need to put towels down at silly o'clock, although there are still a few idiots who insist on doing this. Towels can be got at reception for 10 euro's each deposit. The entertainment at the pool is very minimal. We found the pool area surprisingly quiet and chilled which was fab. The beach is 2 minute walk at the end of the complex, again, always sun beds. The beach bar do lovely Gyros for lunch, would highly recommend. The evening entertainment is a bit hit and miss but didn't bother us. We also asked how much to extend the room on the last day and was told 80 euros which is extortionate for 6 hours. We also booked a 3 bay day cruise with the hotel which i would also recommend. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and we would have no qualms about booking again if we returned to Kardamena.
