We had a wonderful stay at Kipriotis Maris. The hotel has a lovely large pool, and the animation team was fantastic, keeping everyone entertained throughout our holiday. A special thank you to Lara, Sean, Taylor, and Mersi for their energy, friendliness, and great activities. The restaurant manager was very helpful and always willing to assist, while the bar staff were friendly and welcoming at all times. We also enjoyed exploring the island. We went on trips to Kos Town and rented a car, which made it easy to discover the beautiful surroundings. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and would happily recommend this hotel to others.

“Good location but food is underwhelming”

Overall Impression We generally enjoyed our stay; however, we would not choose to return. Despite being advertised as a 5‑star property, the hotel aligns more closely with a 3.5–4‑star standard. Positive Aspects 1) Convenient location — close to the beach and with easy access to the main road. 2) Quiet and uncrowded environment, contributing to a peaceful stay. 3) Polite and helpful staff throughout the hotel. 4) Spacious rooms with kitchenettes; ours offered an excellent sea view. 5) Fresh and tasty food overall. 6) Good children’s animation program. 7) Decent‑sized pool, although depth markings were missing. 8) Free on‑site parking available for guests. 9) Late check‑in snacks provided (simple sandwiches/snacks), which was appreciated. Negative Aspects 1) Repetitive and uninspiring menu, with very few local dishes offered. 2) Slow replenishment of food trays in the restaurant; empty trays often remained unfilled for 10 minutes or longer, and some were not replaced at all. 3) Room cleaning was minimal: the toilet was not cleaned for an entire week, the balcony remained dirty despite multiple requests, and at one point the cleaner removed our last roll of toilet paper, requiring a trip to reception for replacement. 4) Tea bags in the room were never restocked. 5) Very basic adult animation, and the Greek dance performance was underwhelming. 6) The “à la carte” option at Ariadne (part of Kipriotis Panorama) is misleading. Although advertised as à la carte, the restaurant only provides a buffet with slightly more variety than the main restaurant at Kipriotis Maris. 7) Beach conditions: mostly pebbles and shingles with a very steep drop‑off. 8) Air‑conditioning emitted a noticeable mouldy smell.
