“Marbella Collection experience”

This is probably the 10th time we have been to this hotel and as always, we received a warm welcome from the staff, especially our friend over the years Sosi and Erik the General Manager. The Group has definitely been improved by the addition of the sister hotel, Avali, which is only 200-300 yar… more

“Amazing, family holiday. Wonderful attentive staff. Fabulous memories of a truly great family holiday”

Our stay at the MarBella Collection was truly exceptional from beginning to end. Even before we departed from the UK, we contacted the hotel directly to arrange our airport transfer, and the service was seamless from the outset. Upon arriving in Corfu, we were greeted with a wonderfully warm welcom… more

“Nice family resort”

We visited during October half term with children under 10. Overall a nice resort, spread out over many levels but easy enough to navigate once you get you bearings. Our stay was similar to what many people have described so will point out the more pertinent things for those who may be interested… more

“Disappointing”

We have just returned from 7 nights at Marbella and overall we are disappointed. I’ll start with the positives. The hotel itself was beautiful. Really clean, tidy, and well-kept with gorgeous views. The room was lovely and clean as well - even under the bed (a spot I usually don’t dare look at in … more

Key features of the moderation of reviews

There is an automatic system that detects offensive language, in which case the review will not be published. If an owner reports one of the reviews, the review will be re-evaluated and, if it fails to comply with our content standards, it will be taken down.

Our criteria for collecting guest reviews

After getting home from the trip booked with us, the customer will receive an email asking them to review different aspects of each of the services booked. The system only allows the booking holder to complete this review and only once.

When will my review appear on the website?

Reviews typically take less than 24 hours to appear on our website. The process may take longer if our team of moderators have to examine the review in more detail.

How long will my review stay on the website?

Once it has been published, your review will automatically appear in the summary of reviews and if it is considered a featured review (based on publication date, length and quality of content), the complete review will also appear. Said review will not appear or will disappear from the system if it contains offensive language or if it is reported.

Can I get a reward for my opinion?

No. Reviews written in exchange for personal rewards such as gifts, services, or money will be taken down.

Can a review be edited?

No, once a review has been written, it cannot be edited. If you want it taking down, you can ask to have it deleted and not republished again.

Will my review appear on other websites or publications?

Once published, all or some of the reviews written by our members may be used on some of our partner sites or in promotional material in general.

If I write a review about a service, can the provider contact me about it?

No, as the personal data of the booking holder writing the review will not be shared with any service providers being reviewed. In the featured reviews shown, only the booking holder's first name will appear, meaning that there's no way that the service provider can contact you.

  • Guests at Nido, Mar-Bella Collection say: Having been regular guests at the Marbella since 2006 this was our 20th year and it was exceptional in many respects! We have seen many changes over approximately 18 trips to the hotel, (sometimes twice a year) but this year is under new management by Errikos, with Theodora as Guest Relations Manager. Both recently returning to Marbella after a short period elsewhere. We can absolutely confirm that this year has seen a big improvement in the operations, menu selections and all of the staff were extremely welcoming and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble at all. The pre-booked taxi from the airport was waiting, as usual, and Spiros took us comfortably to the Hotel where Theodora was standing at the entrance to greet us, a nice unexpected surprise! We had booked a superior SV room but as MC Reward members were upgraded to a Bungalow Junior Suite with panoramic sea view in the Chloe building, wonderful! The whole complex is spotlessly clean and with over 360 rooms you can see that all of the staff appear to be part of one big happy family, something that we understand is promoted by the owners and management alike. There are too many to mention individually (as they are so busy at work and don’t stand still long enough to read and memorise their name badges!) but we always look forward to meet Dina and Luciana as well as many long-standing staff members. It was also nice to be remembered by those with only one or two years’ service at the Marbella. This was the first time ever we had booked for ‘opening’ week and must say that we expected a few glitches but experienced NONE, the gradual opening of all of the restaurants over the first few days was very smooth and the new menus were a nice change and of excellent quality with a super all-inclusive wine selection of about 60 types, probably more than any other Corfu hotel. The Italian-themed Kuzina. Great menu and open for Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. Excellent meals and meeting the chef with Dina was a nice touch. You could tell that he was devoted to his craft and passionate about quality. All of the staff were professional and polite and worked hard. By the end of the first week the dining area became a busy place and they all moved swiftly from table to table ensuring that all was good. We have seen this restaurant from initial construction to completion over one winter and, whilst the original plot housed a Greek and an Italian restaurant, it updates the area into a modern upmarket complex and a nice inviting rooftop bar area above (Eleonas), which, although closed for our week, was opening shortly afterwards. The French Celeste. Great menu again and really nice design and environment. La Terrazza buffet restaurant. Greatly improved over the years and the choice of food gets better every year. The Mexican theme when we dined was delicious. The Asian themed Kum Kuat restaurant. New menu this year and again really enjoyable. Although not open for breakfast during our week, it was due to open soon as the hotel occupancy increases. The Deck Bar & Grill. On the beach area, probably the most used restaurant for our lunch, has a new meze selection and was a brilliant improvement over recent years (where lunch was limited to snacks) but now offers a good meze-sharing selection ideal for leisurely lunches, taking in the views. The dinner menu has also been revised since last year with more meat selections compared to mainly sea-food previously. Great staff and as always professional and fast. It was nice to see some familiar faces. We were also invited to the sister hotel, Avali, a few hundred metres north for a dinner which is available as one of your A la Carte entitlements under the “Dine Around” facility. Just like the Marbella, the staff were attentive and professional. It was a pleasure to try out the hotel, which is adults and 6+ so always an option for perhaps a quieter break. Note that the “Dine Around” facility across Marbella, Nido and Avali is a great option but best to carefully read the explanation on the map-leaflet you receive at check-in to understand the rules! (Photo attached) The Canteens at the main pool, beach and aqua park are great for snack meals at your sunbeds and good quality. Great selection of bar areas with very nice cocktails and many other options. The grounds are immaculate and very green. Visible signs of wasp catchers shows that they care about guests as much as possible. We met Errikos the hotel manager often and he would always acknowledge you being there and Theodora would ensure that we spoke/met nearly every day to catch up. Thank you to 'everyone' at the Marbella in all areas for making our stay a pleasure and hope to see you all again this season!
