The hotel is located in a great area, surrounded by plenty of greenery and with direct access to the sea. The rooms are clean and fresh renovated. The pools are nice, but it is disappointing that the water slides shown on the hotel’s website are not available. The animation team (Stan and Lena) is excellent – friendly, energetic, and always smiling. The entertainment program is enjoyable and well organized. Drinks from Ardian perfect. Overall, the food is tasty (all people will find something), but it is definitely worth taking advantage of the à la carte dining option. I would like to single out Makram is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. He seems to have an answer to every question and is always ready to assist with a positive attitude.

We had an amazing family holiday at Roda Beach Hotel and we are absolutely delighted with our stay! The hotel is beautiful, clean, well maintained, and from the very first day we felt at home. Our biggest thanks go to the entire entertainment team. They were all fantastic and put their whole hearts into making every day special. A special thank you goes to Stan from Poland – our children had a wonderful time with him and looked forward to the activities every day. We also really enjoyed playing darts together, as it is one of our favourite games. We would also like to send our warmest regards to the whole animation team: Lena, Sami, Gabriel, Vanina, Rado, Janika, Lola, Ewa, Nina, Kami, Paphale, Nikos, and Farah. Every one of them was friendly, energetic, and always smiling. They created an incredible atmosphere and made our holiday truly unforgettable. The food at the hotel was delicious, with a great variety of choices every day. The White Party was absolutely amazing – great music, a fantastic atmosphere, and so much fun! A huge thank you also goes to all the hotel staff. The housekeeping team, chefs, waiters, reception staff, and everyone else were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. Every single employee deserves a medal for their hard work and dedication. Thank you to the entire Roda Beach team for such a wonderful holiday. We will always remember this special time and hope to come back again in the future!

Roda Beach Resort & Spa is both enchanting and infuriating. The complex is impeccably-designed (although a single and therefore congested lift for the main building could be a problem, especially for some new arrivals, especially French (j'apporte mes excuses), wandering about in search of their rooms scattered randomly around). It includes all leisure facilities one can think of, it makes significant effort to provide entertainment (of varied quality but that's forgivable), it is spacious, in terms of accommodation caters well for various pockets (apparently in 499 rooms!). And it has a well-trained wonderful staff, cleaning, serving, pleasing, nearly always nearby to help. Especially happy-clappy young yet responsive bartenders, allowed to serve - mind you - a variety of free drinks (all-inclusive style). Among them a true gem - multilingual Kostas at the main lobby bar (special thanks on behalf of all the unruly Poles). These are all big pluses and there is probably more. But it is also infuriating, as it practically is an island of luxury in the middle of nowhere. You can try a potentially traumatic walk by the "beach" to the faceless Roda Beach Village or go by bus (a car if you have one) via a life-threatening hilly and curvy road, that takes at least one hour to reach anything of interest (and especially central Corfu offers such places and sites), or be condemned to the camp-like atmosphere. Unless, of course, improbably, you are a qualified walker and like trekking in the scorching heat. The dining room is an experience: peripatetic, with enormous buffet tables island, plonky wines and beers, it is a true downside. It caters for allegedly 1300 per one meal seating, and such efficiency is, of course, bewildering. But the noise created is insane! Three time a day! La grand bouffe, of not always detectable quality, cannot compensate for it. Why not to put some light portable partitions in the dining hall to create a bit of cosiness? Why not to make at least two buffets instead of one monstrosity? Also, when a typical Greek dish is served, with the name tag for it, why not to add a brief mention how to avoid an unpalatable mix of incompatible ingredients? So, to sum it up: if you after an apathetic comfort, a mindless sun-burn by the pool with a lot of iced drinks, striving to enhance your getting weighty programme, while enjoying a voluntary confinement, this is the place. But you risk that your knowing and understanding Corfu will exactly be the same on departure as on arrival. Having said that, Corfu is a marvel!
