Thank you for a perfect Holiday. Very clean hotel, food was good. All the staff couldn’t do enough for you. I would return again to the hotel but the drinks at the pool bar are far too expensive & I feel this would stop people returning or even booking. I would call this a family hotel, lots of kinds in the pool all day. If you want peace & quiet all day maybe this wouldn’t be the hotel for you. Thank you again

Location: The hotel is a 10 minute drive from the airport in a beautiful location on the cliffs. There is a very small private beach at the hotel and also the public beach on the other side of the cliffs. You are a 45 min walk from Argostoli (or 10 mins in taxi). The resort does require some walking - 5 mins to pool, 5 mins to main building from bungalows. If you’re in main building it’s just down the stairs to buffet/Lungomare bar/restaurant. We didn’t feel the walking around was a burden or that challenging but for someone with mobility issues may struggle. Rooms: The rooms were beautifully clean and modern. We loved our balcony (although it got very hot in the afternoon in direct sun!). The air con was great and we had a sea-view room (worth the extra). Food: I have coeliacs so eating gluten free on holiday can be very stressful and often affects my experience. On the first night I asked the staff about allergens and they went to get the chef for me. The chef came out, explained what I could have and made a separate plate up for me from the kitchen to avoid cross contamination from the buffet tongs too. This was a great service and made me feel very happy about eating at the buffet. The chef even made me special desserts where there was not one available and offered me dessert from a La carte too. I ate some really delicious food - curries, fish, rice, salads - really good experience. Same for breakfast lots of options just speak to the chef. I even had gluten free pasta one night cooked fresh. My only issue - and it is very minor - is the standing in the middle of the buffet asking for the chef every night - sometimes twice if you wanted a pudding too. I felt like a burden to them and a bit awkward, but that faded over the week - that was probably just my own stress about it. It perhaps would have been nice for the staff to remember and inform the kitchen when we checked in with our room number, but that’s quite a lot to ask !! Overall really happy with my experience as I often choose hotels based on if I can be catered for - it has the coeliac approval. I wouldn’t really recommend the pool bar for GF lunch - very limited Gluten free options and expensive. Didn’t have the same chef access. Activities: We hired a car and drove around for 3 days - to Mount Aenos, Assos, Odysseus theme park, St Gerasimos Monastery - hotel has free parking for guests and lots of space to park car. The pool is lovely lots of loungers and bean bags around - some poolside and some very close to pool. Staff on hand for drinks orders and food at lunch if you require. Do not recommend the pool bar for food if you’re gluten free. There was yoga/pilates in the mornings and also two themed music nights - Jazz and Greek in the week. The music was very loud till about 11pm but didn’t disturb us too much. Make sure you go to Argostoli harbour early in the morning to see the turtles! Around 7:30am/8am is the best time when the fishing boats are coming in. We also saw two turtles in the water near White Rocks (while we snorkelled) which was absolutely amazing.

This was my third visit to White Rocks but sadly it doesn’t feel as special as it once did. The location is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, some staff are exceptional. A special mention goes to the evening restaurant team, the cocktail waitresses, and especially Olga, who was always so warm, friendly and welcoming. However, there are a few things that have changed since my previous visits. Prices have increased noticeably, particularly for drinks, which now feel far too expensive. The atmosphere has also shifted. It used to feel like a quieter, more adult-focused hotel, whereas this year it had much more of a family resort feel. As a result, the main pool often felt overcrowded and simply isn’t large enough to comfortably accommodate the number of guests using it. My biggest concern, however, is the welfare of the cats around the resort. Over my three visits, the cat population has noticeably increased. On my first visit there were only one or two cats. This year there are many more, including three tiny kittens, no more than five or six weeks old, already beginning life outdoors because the breeding cycle has been allowed to continue. This is entirely preventable. Feeding cats occasionally is not animal welfare, and during my stay I saw no permanent food or fresh water stations around the main hotel or pool areas. Without a proper welfare programme, more kittens will continue to be born into the same life. The only humane, long-term solution is Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR), alongside permanent feeding and fresh water stations. TNR prevents endless litters, reduces disease, injury and suffering, and is recognised worldwide as the most effective and ethical way to manage community cats. If you’re staying here and care about animal welfare, please ask the hotel what they are doing to support the cats and encourage them to introduce a comprehensive TNR programme with permanent feeding and water stations.
