“Family holiday”

Just the place I needed to relax and unwind after a series of very stressful weeks. We stayed in a junior suite with a sea view, which was lovely. My son loved swimming in the pool and the sea. The staff were very welcoming and lovely.

First class hotel, beautiful location set in lovely grounds. Food very good, staff excellent, lots of steps so you might struggle if you have mobility issues. Ten minutes from airport and five to Agostoli.

We first visited Kefalonia as a young couple in 1986 and were blown away with the beauty of the island. On a day trip to the beach next to White Rocks Hotel, we looked up and said 'one day we will stop there!' 40 years later we finally got around to it! We had high expectations of the hotel only to find that those expectations were exceeded. Everything about the hotel, location, staff and food made our stay so memorable. On arrival the first thing we noticed was how quiet it was. The staff were there to meet us and immediately made us feel welcome. We had booked a bungalow for our stay and can only have positives about the room. They views were exceptional with spectacular sunset views every evening. We dined at the al a carte restaurant on a few evenings. Situated on the terrace overlooking the bay, the service and food were of the highest standard and we would highly recommend dining there. The hotel also has a beach bar that serves food of the same high standard during the day. The friendly staff were always on hand to do whatever they could for us. Some evenings we walked into Lassi (about a 20 minute walk or taxi at about 5 euro's) to experience the restaurants and taste the local cuisine. So many places to try out! A trip to Argostoli to see the giant turtles is also well worth a visit. Back to the hotel. As well as the large public beach to the side of the hotel there was a small private beach at the hotel. Although there were only a few sunbeds at the waterfront, it was only a few steps down from the pool where there were ample sunbeds available. The sea is as spectacular as the photos you find in the brochures. An excellent location for snorkelling or just swimming. The cleanliness through the hotel stood out. Rooms were cleaned daily and nothing was too much for the staff. We feel that the holiday was value for money and well within what we would expect to pay for a holiday of this standard. The only regret that we have is that it took us 40 years to finally stay at the White Rocks! We will return soon!
