A wonderful stay but with a few tiny niggles. We had a family bungalow, spotlessly clean with a lovely big bathroom. Not enough storage space for suitcases as there were four of us, probably better suited to a couple. The staff, grounds and views are the best I've experienced, the hotel itself is wonderful and the staff cannot do enough for you. You complete an allergy form when you check in but that where it ended for us. There is a gluten free corner in the buffet restaurant, nobody showed us this, it was another guest that told us it was there. The food Is lovely though and we managed to get a few restaurant bookings via the guest relations desk in the preferred area reception. Personally, this is not a five star hotel, it's a four and I would definitely return again.

We stayed at Dreams from the 3rd of June for 2 weeks as a couple in our 20s. This was both of our first time at an all inclusive so we weren’t sure what to expect. We had a standard room so did not opt for the preferred club package. Check in was quick and easy and even though we arrived late they had saved us some food in the buffet area in case we were hungry, which was a nice touch. First of all, the grounds and surroundings are absolutely stunning. The sea view from the hotel’s private beach and the bars and restaurants overlooking is unmatched. The grounds are generally very well maintained and looked after, with the exception of a few stained sun loungers and deck chairs, nothing major. Room: Our room was a standard double room on the ground floor of the building near to the lagoon pool. The room was spotlessly clean and had a lot of storage and hanging space for clothes and toiletries. There was a large kingsize bed and also a large TV which you can cast YouTube and Netflix to. The room was certainly spacious enough for us to get ready in and had a ‘living’ space beyond the bedroom with two sofas and a table, with our own small terrace with table and chairs outside beyond that. The bathroom was lovely and of a good size, with a large walk in shower that had both a shower head and a waterfall style shower that you could switch between. The daily room service was fantastic and the room was always exceptionally clean with the bed made perfectly. The Hyatt app allows you to request anything extra you may need, from extra hangers and laundry to toothpaste and shampoo. There was also a daily restock of the drinks fridge which had water, Pepsi, orangeade, lemonade and beer. Though our room was perfect for us, I noticed that guests next door to us had two children with them, so I can imagine this would be quite cramped with more than two guests, as we used the living space with the sofas for our suitcases. The main negatives with the room are that upon arrival I did notice a smell of the drains coming from the bathroom, which became quite strong at times. Fortunately, the smell seemed to disappear quickly from when we arrived so we did not need to request to move rooms. If the smell had persisted however I would have raised this as it was quite unpleasant. The only other issue that we noticed when we were trying to sleep at night was the recurring sound of the drains churning, which was quite loud and would interrupt a light sleeper, particularly when we didn’t have the air con on high to drown it out. Pools: There are four pools at the hotel, one of which was the lagoon pool which is near the main hotel building. This is a stunning large pool with fountains and water features, which has an ‘infinity’ style adults only pool just above it. The adults only pool is quite small but it was lovely and we spent most of our time here. There were more than enough sun loungers and there’s certainly no need to rush to reserve sunbeds here, which is something that we really appreciated, especially on mornings where we got up a little later. Both pools were quite cold but we found that this was perfect in such hot temperatures. A special shout out to the lovely Leandros, who was our waiter at the adults only poolside for the majority of our stay. Leandros was friendly and professional and does a fantastic job to serve everyone’s complicated drinks orders with no issues! The drinks service was regular but if you did want another drink inbetween, the pool bar is only a 30 second walk away. The next pool is down at the beach area, and despite having the best views of the ocean, we did not try this one as it seemed very crowded when we did walk down during the day. It is right next to the barefoot grill which serves lunch during the day, and it always seemed to be quite chaotic and noisy with the amount of children here. The fourth pool is at the preferred club area which is inbetween the lagoon pool and the beach. We did not have the preferred club package so did not try this pool, but I have to say it was not particularly private and didn’t look to be anything special when we walked past this most days. There were a few times when we walked past and it seemed peaceful, but also times when we saw it noisy and packed with children. This must have been a recurring theme as guests from the preferred club actually opted to spend their day at the adults only pool instead of the one they had paid for! This was evident as preferred club members have yellow towels and other guests have dark orange/burgundy. Beach: We didn’t spend much time at the beach as we usually prefer the pool when we are away. The beach has the best views on the hotel grounds. With surrounding mountains, cliff side houses, boats and a marina nearby. The beach is well maintained and there seemed to be plenty of sun loungers. On days where there was no cloud, the sea did look blue. However, on cloudier days it was a little murkier. To my knowledge, the beaches in Gouvia do not really have crystal clear water compared to other places on the island. Albeit, the sea looked fine to swim in. There was also an external company doing boat tours from the beach to corfu town. The prices were €23pp and for children up to 12, €12. It was roughly a 45min journey to Corfu town on the boat and was a relaxing ride. Spiros, the captain, was very friendly and made you feel welcome aboard. He made the journey interactive and fun and Corfu town was lovely to explore. The only downside to the boat trip was that there was quite limited coverage from the sun on board. The journey would have been more pleasant with some coverage from the sun. The boat tour does offer a day trip and evening. The timings were 0930hrs to 1430hrs and 1800hrs to 2230hrs. Preferred Lounge: We did not experience this but do not believe it would be worth it considering the high added cost, unless using hyatt points to go toward the holiday, particularly given that a lot of the guests preferred the pools outside of this area. I think this would be a great option if the preferred club was for adults only, for a more relaxing stay, but like much of the hotel, this still seemed to be full of noisy children and crying babies. Staff: The staff at dreams were absolutely amazing and they are a credit to the hotel. Every member of staff we came across was friendly, approachable and could not do enough for us. Their service was truly 5 star worthy and I have to say this really was a highlight of our stay. After an error with a member of staff mistakenly booking the Italian on an evening when it was closed, we were disappointed that we would have had to use the buffet on an evening where the themed night wasn’t particularly our favourite. Discussing the error with staff, within 5 minutes they rectified the issue and got us booked into the seaside grill restaurant. This level of service is definitely appreciated and examples the quality of service provided by the staff to ensure you are felt heard and appreciated. Buffet: All in all, we were surprised at the quality of the food provided for all 3 meals - it was generally really good. All of the food for breakfast and lunch was usually the same. Dinner did have “themed” nights, however was usually quite similar night to night. Breakfast and lunch had a decent selection of food. There were themed” nights at the buffet for dinner, making each night slightly different from the other. There were typically 2 choices of grilled meats and 1 fish option. There was definitely enough options to cater for everyone’s tastes. However, if you ate there every night it would get repetitive, so definitely get booked into the restaurants The “themed” nights aren’t exactly what you’d imagine, as for example when it was ‘Mexican’ night the only Mexican offering seemed to be to make your own fajitas, but nevertheless the food was always nice. Lunch was the quietest time to use the buffet. Often, the buffet at breakfast and dinner seemed slightly chaotic. This was down to how busy the dining area was with babies/children crying and screaming and the parents not taking them out of the dining area, which became consistently disruptive. Also, inconsiderate guests blocking walkways and getting ridiculously close to you as you were picking what you were eating. On one occasion we could feel a guest knocking their plate of food into our backs as it seemed like they were rushing to get into the section of food we were using. This did put us off the buffet in all honesty and on a few nights when we noticed it was really busy, we decided to eat out. This was a little bit disappointing as the food made by the chefs was generally really nice. However it was spoiled by some other guests who seemed like it was their first day on planet earth or those who thought they were royalty and didn’t need to be considerate to other guests. We were very surprised that there were no bumps or dropped plates during our stay due to so many people being in a rush to either get their food or get back to their table. We do appreciate that this is no fault of the hotel and its staff. A consideration to make to the hotel is to implement a system where tables are invited up to fill their plates at the busiest of times (1900-2030hrs) to prevent the buffet being overcrowded and to prevent some guests acting like starving wild animals who haven’t been fed in a week! Breakfast time was mostly okay in terms being busy but again the stunning views and serenity was often disrupted by the number of screaming children and parents allowing them to do so. We do think that the staff did a really good job into showing you to a table and making sure that you always had a drink of choice at all times. Dinner time was the busiest between 1900hrs to 2030hrs. However some nights did seem busier/quieter than others. Restaurants: The hotel has three evening restaurants aside from the main world buffet, which you can book into during your stay. First is the Greek restaurant, Yiayia, which we dined at once. This was very nice with large portions, and the lamb chops and chicken ordered were perfectly cooked. There is an Italian restaurant by the lagoon pool which opens on lunchtimes as well as some evenings. This was lovely at lunchtime and the pizzas were very good, however we would say that our evening meal here was not the best and the seafood linguini was rather poor quality. Our favourite restaurant at the hotel is the Seaside Grill, which is down at the beach and overlooks the ocean. The setting is absolutely stunning and the beef brisket we had here was delicious. We went here three times and each time it was lovely. We did try other mains here but the beef brisket is definitely the best on the menu at this restaurant. We would have liked more choice on the menus at each restaurant as they are all quite limited to three starters, three mains and three desserts on average but we understand this may not be feasible at an all inclusive. Entertainment: During our stay, we only took part in the evening entertainment as throughout the day we just wanted to relax and unwind. Looking at the app, there are plenty of activities to do for children, teens and adults. The entertainment on the evening was very good. Karaoke was our favourite as some of the guests were really funny and there were some good singers! The only thing that prevented us from taking part in the fun was that we did not really like any of the songs on the list and it got quite repetitive when the same song was played 5 times in one evening and the same again another. Imagine ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘Wonderwall’ on repeat. It would be nice for the list to be refreshed often to keep the show interesting. The entertainment staff were fantastic. They were very good at advertising what was on at what time and made all the events very interactive. The staff had been preparing their own twist on west end shows 4 weeks prior to our arrival and performed their first show whilst we was there which was very entertaining. The staff are an absolute credit to themselves and when speaking to them it seemed like it was their first time performing on stage. Services: The App you are encouraged to download and use at the start of the stay needs improvement. You can not book the a la carte restaurants through the app as it is constantly showing as “no availability” or “you can not book this far in advance”. The staff did seem to be quite surprised when we approached them saying you could not book the restaurants despite nearly every single review saying that this was the case. In all honesty, it was not that big of an issue. If you speak to the customer relations team, they will book you into the restaurants themselves - with the bookings being confirmed on the app. Some reviews are very negative about this - however, they did not confirm if they actually asked any of the staff if there was another way to get booked in… the rest of the app worked fine, it is worth downloading before you arrive so you can play about with it and see what services you can request and see what entertainment is on at what time and date etc. All in all, other than the restaurant booking the app worked completely fine, it was easy to use and it allowed you to make requests where they were attended to very quickly. The hotel gym had good equipment, dumbells that went up to 22kg and was nice and cool. We did not use the Spa, therefore we cannot comment on it. Lastly, hotel check out is at 12pm which is ideal for customers with flights early evening. Late check out was quoted at €25 per hour for the standard room which we thought was quite expensive considering we were getting picked up just after 2000hrs to go to the airport. The hotel do offer a complementary room for you to get a shower etc before leaving the hotel. This is actually a hotel room and not a public shower room. This was only for 30 minutes for 2 people which we did feel like it was a bit of a rush. We thought 45 minutes would have been more comfortable. Conclusion: In conclusion, our two week stay was very special and the hotel met our standards and needs. We booked throughout Jet 2 and paid £2700pp for the two weeks and we believe that, for the price we paid for, it was good value if you can make the absolute most of it. We would personally not do an all inclusive again as we felt like we did not really make the most of it. However, if you are a big drinkers, eaters etc then you can definitely find the value in what you pay. We had read lots of negative reviews on trip advisor before coming on our holiday, which did make us worry about whether we’d made the right choice, but can safely say there are no regrets after our wonderful stay. Although we wouldn’t come back to this hotel, we would recommend it to people looking to do an all inclusive in Corfu. Do not let the negative reviews put you off too much - just be mindful that reviews about children and how it may get quite busy can be accurate as some days did seem busier than others. If you have booked during school holidays, then we would strongly suggest you to dine later and try use the adults only pool. We did not feel that reviews about food were very accurate - however we do appreciate people have different tastes and preferences. The hotel definitely caters for all types of holiday makers. However, it definitely should be noted that the hotel is quite family oriented and may be better suited to families with young children.

This was the first time to Corfu in some time, so picked carefully, we stayed at dreams resort for 1 week, we had a standard room, were offered upgrade on arrival but at an extra £1,100 euros decided not to bother, The room was on the ground floor near, adult and lagoon pools, the room was generous in size and bathroom was lovely and modern, Room service was fab, and the mini fridge was restocked as required. Food very impressed with the quality of the food and the variety, I’m coeliac and husband’s vegetarian so catering for us can be a nightmare but spoke to chef first day, he explained what I could and couldn’t eat, all food was labelled, at breakfast there was a separate section for GF and I requested toasted bread each morning, the hotel has 3 restaurants to use if you can get booked in, we went to the Italian and I had a lovely GF carbonara, the other where Greek and Seaside restaurants. Both offer GF dishes The staff at this hotel are great, always helpful and friendly with big smiles, the entertainment is okay we went out several times to watch the entertainment in town, we enjoyed the slower entertainment in the seaside lounge but very similar acts and the theatre entertainment meant lots of kids running about, but definitely did not spoil anything. All in all really enjoyed it here took the bus into Corfu town twice costing 2.50 euros but tap your bank card and costs 1.80, we done an Island tour with TUI a must, and had a lovely week, thank you ☺️ Although we enjoyed it I probably wouldn’t return just because of the amount of children, and how busy the pool was, would better suit families we usually book adult only hotels and as we enjoyed it, I think adult only are probably better suited for us.
