I would only write this if I felt it worth while and it really is. If you are looking a 5 star multi chain named place to stay keep on looking. This place offers more than just value for money. It offers something 5 star places can’t, a personal friendly touch. The rooms are basic and to be honest that’s all we need. Somewhere to sleep, wash and prepare breakfast or lunch. If you are looking somewhere with a living room and tv etc….maybe stay at home. The pool is immaculate. No rush for loungers and so refreshing. It was in the high 30s during our stay and the pool was the perfect temp. The food…I can’t praise it enough. For all the price of it you don’t expect much but my goodness every meal we have had over delivered. From pasta to chops and burgers we have not had a bad meal. The best part of it all, the staff. This is a family owned place and when you stay here, they let you in as part of their family. I can’t spell their names properly but brothers Demitri & Tanasis do an amazing job with their hospitality aswell as Demitri’s partner Thianna. All the staff we encountered were so helpful and always smiling. Location wise it’s a 5 minute walk down the hill to the main Ipsos strip. Personally I’d rather stay in the Lavrion for the week. Ipsos itself has no live entertainment like tributes or karaoke and is extremely limited for family stuff for kids in the evening. The beach is pretty much pure stones also. Overall though this is a review of Lavrion and it will remain on my Nice List! Thank you and we hope to come again!

I have never left a holiday review but after reading some of the reviews before I came I was a little apprehensive. Just arrived with my husband and our 9 yr old daughter lastnight. The couple working the bar when we adrives are the owners and they were very very pleasant and helpful. We are room number 6, short flight of steps and a balcony over looking the pool. The studios are as basic as basic gets. Open planned, not an apartment no sitting area like a sofa or seperate bedroom. For all we use our apartment for this doesn’t bother us. Small kitchen area- 2 ring hob, fridge and some cookware. Bathroom with hand held shower but very neat, clean and tidy. Kettle supplied but no toaster, hairdryer or iron (which isn’t a big deal) just bring your own. Pool area is very very nice it’s immaculate, no fight for sun loungers, little tables in between for drinks etc, umbrellas for some shade and pool temperature is perfect! We had some toast and croissants this morning which were very nice. Haven’t tried dinner menu yet but plenty to choose from and reasonably priced. Bar area is very clean, lots of tables, tv showing sports and a pool table. Drinks very very reasonably priced. Pint of mythos, kopparberg and a Diet Coke €13 The studios themselves are situated at the top of a hill, this may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties. My husband took a walk down this morning, he said 5 mins got him to the beach and main “strip” 20 mins walk got him to Nellie’s bar at the end of the strip. Plenty of shops, bars and places to eat. 10 steps across a small road is a little supermarket selling everything you could need for self catering. Next to the supermarket is Dominoes restaurant and hotel. As far as I’m aware you can go in to eat and use their pool facilities which look very very nice (handy if you want to eat and kids want to play) and geek entertainment on Saturdays I believe. At present my daughter is the only child here and we are the only guests here at the pool but that doesn’t bother us We have been told that is it mostly bars and nightclubs down on the main strip, we prefer more of a live entertainment vibe but this is no reflection on Lavrion and we can get a taxi to nearby resort if we chose to and been told it’s around 15€ return On first impressions we are very happy with what we have booked and the price we paid. We would absolutely return here without hesitation and I don’t think it deserves some of the bad reviews we read before coming. If you are prepared for a cheap, no frills and relaxing holiday in Ipsos you won’t be disappointed. If you want luxury and frills this is not the place for you!

My Daughter Grace & I stayed at Lavrion studios this week. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is budget and rooms are very basic, which we expected because you get what you pay for as far as luxury and comfort. The location is good if you dont mind a little walk to the town. The hotel is family run and we found the owners to be genuinely helpful, welcoming, cheerful and friendly. The food is delicious, good price and the cocktails & service are exceptional! We recommend the Lavrion Special Cocktail 😃 Thanasis and his family are excellent hosts. The pool area is a sun trap, if you want a lazy relaxing holiday you can literally lay outside by the pool, comfortably and peacefully all day enjoying the sunshine which we did. We were allowed late check out as our room was not booked for the following day which we were so grateful for. If you dont mind a basic room, and enjoy a laid back vibe, i would recommend!! We would love to come back again. xxx
