Went away for a week after celebrating my birthday and it was absolutely magnificent. The accommodation really gives you a glimpse into Greek culture and architecture. Staff are so lovely at the front desk and around the pool, always willing to help and make sure you have a holiday you’ll never forget. Cleaning staff come to the room every day to replace towels, sheets, empty bins and make beds. It is not noisy at all, in a very remote area and even in accommodation beside night time entertainment you can’t hear any loud music. The entertainment team were the most lovely people I have met, very kind and friendly.

Arrived home from Ionian Sea on 14th July and can honestly say that we had the most amazing time. Plenty to do for all the family and the entertainment team were brilliant. The hotel is a little far out from the main town but it was easy to get a taxi from the hotel and cost between €17-20. The staff were great and solved any issues quickly. My only recommendation would be that they install an ATM at the hotel as it is cash only so if you run out of euros you have to pay a taxi into town and back to be able to get euros or exchange money. Overall this didn’t affect our holiday.

We travelled here for 1 week with a 4 year old and were sceptical due to the reviews but we had an excellent time. Here’s some helpful info… Rooms- Our room was 570 (ground floor) and it was in the perfect place, it was in the middle of the complex which was easy for dropping towels etc off when in and out of water park and wanting to go for dinner. Food- The only thing this hotel had to resemble Greece was the music they play at dinner time and feta cheese salad. The rest of the food was really tasty but you could have just been somewhere in spain. This was a shame as we didn’t get to experience greek food at all. The breakfast was a 5/10 they had eggs, scrambled eggs, ‘beans’ & some sort of sausage but there was no other choice really. Eggy bread was good. We tried to eat at different times as it was so busy but turns out its always busy. Always managed to find a table. The coffee was a no from me, i’m glad i took a cup and some nescafe sachets 😀 Bar- All inclusive stops at 11 and then you have to pay for drinks, this didn’t effect us that much as the entertainment also stops at 11 so we just got a few drinks in before 11 that saw us through until we went back. The barmen are really nice, always remember what you have and pretty much have it ready before you reach the bar. The beers were half beer half froth but they did get better, it just meant you were probably having a 1/4 of a pint each time. White wine was ok i’ve had worse & they have some bright green cocktail that was ok but have no idea what was in it. I think there was only 1 bar open at night which was the garden bar where the entertainment was. The pool bar says its opens until midnight but when we were sat there it shut at 8pm so not sure about that. Entertainment- The kids entertainment was great, they had kids club on 10:30-13:00 and again at 15:00-17:00. My 4 year old loved it, she had never been in a kids club before but she loved the animation team & they looked after her. They do mini disco at 9pm and then entertainment for grown ups at 10pm until 11. They did 1 night to do with Greece where it was traditional Greek dancing etc. Others were Quiz, Karaoke & interactive games. The main evening entertainer was great I think he was caller Andrei, he was hilarious and all the other entertainers are so good at their jobs! They also had stuff on for adults throughout the day volley ball, water polo etc. The snack bar- Had nice ice creams and finger foods like sandwiches and some times chips/nuggets. Was ok. Aqua Park- We spent most of our time here great for little ones and has big slides for big ones. Plenty of beds and nobody is running to get a lounger. I think you can only get your all inclusive drinks in here if you are with Jet2, otherwise you have to pay for bottled beer (a bottle Mythos €5) The main pool man with long hair goes out of his way to make sure everyone knows this. Very friendly. You can’t take any food or drinks in from any of the other bars/snack bars. The beach is a 5 min walk down a hill. It’s ok, we took our daughter for a stroll on it and she loved it. No sunbeds or anything but people were laying on towels so still worth visiting. In the mornings it was very peaceful. This hotel itself is really nice & when speaking to different staff members it seems to they had trouble with 1 or 2 guests who keep doing bad reviews. That’s a shame as its a great hotel, its a huge complex & has aqua park, park, ping pong, outdoor gym, tennis court, kids club, 3 pools, pool bar & garden bar. All staff are very nice, make conversation with you etc. Rooms cleaned every day. The outdoor gym isn’t ever left open, you have to ask reception to open it & i’m not sure why, there’s nothing that can be taken & its all body weight machines. To rent paddle/tennis rackets its €10pp, €5pp for ping pong. This hotel is VERY remote which was ok for us as we just wanted some sun but if you were coming here to explore Kefalonia then you must hire a car/bike as the only thing in walking distance is the beach. The transfer was quite painful as you have to get a coach from the airport to the ferry port which includes drop offs along the way and then a 30 min ferry to Lixouri and then another coach to your hotel which again includes drop offs. Going on the ferry is definitely a scenic route but it feels like the longest transfer in the world. All your bags get loaded on to the coach that takes you from the port to your hotel but this wasn’t the case coming back. We had to take our own cases etc onto the ferry which could have been a pain as they don’t necessarily have a luggage area but there was space on the bench on the ground level where the cars go that we managed to sit on. We have been on many all inclusive holidays and this was really really good. I wouldn’t take notice of the bad reviews. This is a lovely hotel!

The hotel itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and excellent facilities. We particularly enjoyed the brand-new padel court (although the website incorrectly refers to it as "paddle" , along with the tennis court, volleyball court, gym and table tennis. There was plenty to do during the day. Our room was spacious, bright and clean. The shower was excellent and housekeeping did a great job throughout our stay. The only downsides were the lack of drawers for clothes, meaning we had to use shelves instead, and the transparent bathroom door, which didn't offer much privacy. Unfortunately, our apartment overlooked a building site, with construction work starting at around 8:15 a.m. every morning. This was disappointing and took away from what would otherwise have been a very relaxing stay. One of the biggest positives was the staff. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, welcoming and helpful. A special mention goes to the gentleman who supervised the aqua park slides. He seemed to know everyone by name, interacted brilliantly with both children and adults, and clearly loved his job. His enthusiasm really stood out and made a lasting impression. Where the hotel fell short for us was the all-inclusive experience. The food was average at best, and the restaurant was often very crowded during meal times. The evenings were particularly disappointing. Despite there being two bars on the resort, only one opens at night, so everyone is forced into the same busy area. Guests have to queue for every drink, and each person can only collect one drink at a time. The beer servings were extremely small – probably around a quarter of a pint – meaning it took four separate trips to get the equivalent of a pint. If you wanted to sit somewhere quieter, such as by the pool where the other bar is closed in the evening, you had to carry each drink back to your group, drink it, then return to the bar and join the queue again. Cocktails were rarely available, and when they were, they appeared to come from brightly coloured pre-mixed containers with no indication of what they actually were. Surprisingly, cappuccinos were not included in the all-inclusive package and had to be purchased separately. Bottled beer also came at an extra charge. We found these restrictions quite unusual and not what we would expect from an all-inclusive resort. In the end, we were very grateful that we had hired a car. After experiencing the evening atmosphere at the hotel, we chose to spend most evenings exploring the local town instead, where we found a much better selection of restaurants and bars. The nearby beach was also a little underwhelming, with no sunbeds or umbrellas available. Fortunately, having a car allowed us to explore other beaches around the island, many of which were stunning.
