“4 day fabulous stay”

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, fabulous food, amazing exercise classes and studios, lovely pools. Service a little rusty but it's the start of the season so all is forgiven. Friendly helpful staff and a stunning setting

We sadly will not be staying at F Zeen, as we were forced to cancel our June booking due to a medical emergency involving my partner. However, I felt compelled to leave a review because of the exceptional way in which the hotel handled our situation. We had split our Kefalonia trip across two hotels, the first part of the week near Fiskardo and the second at F Zeen. When we contacted both hotels to explain our circumstances, the contrast in responses was striking. While we fully understand that both bookings were non-refundable and made no assumptions, F Zeen responded with immediate compassion and processed a full refund of the deposit without hesitation. The other hotel was not able to offer the same. At one of the most frightening and stressful times of our lives, that gesture of kindness meant the world to us. It is rare to encounter a business that so clearly puts people before policy. We very much hope that when my partner is well again, we will get to experience F Zeen as guests. Thank you again.

“Relaxing Hotel”

We had a great week at FZEEN in July. First of all the setting of the hotel is stunning. There are plenty of places to relax around the 3 pools and their own private beach area.5 The breakfast each morning was brilliant and the two restaurants are very nice. There are also plenty of options to eat outside of the hotel within walking distance. The Gym is great and there are plenty of classes each day. We will definitely be back!

F Zeen markets itself as a 5-star wellness hotel, but in five star fact it falls short in too many areas to truly deserve that rating. When we checked in, we were apparently “upgraded” without being told prior. We were even emailing before about airport pick up. The room felt worse than what we originally booked — less outdoor space, less seating, and far less privacy than the photos suggested. Even the room card on the bed still had another guest’s name on it, which instantly felt careless. We ended up paying extra to move rooms entirely. That room was lots better, but the soundproofing of the windows/door is poor. The mattress was also extremely hard and gave me backache every morning. Service was very inconsistent. Some staff were genuinely lovely and professional, while others spent time leaning around chatting, leaning, loud laughing with each other, on their phones, or ignoring guests unless management appeared. Pool service was especially slow — often waiting over 30 minutes just to order drinks while staff clearly saw us sitting there. Having to go over or try and get them to come over. Some workers are either clueless or unsure how 5 star service operates. That, or they simply don’t want to be the server placed below the customer. The hotel also has very little flexibility with food I’ve never had this. I’ve had restaurants make off menu items such as omelettes for dinner. I’ve had hotel restaurants go out and get several ingredients and cook food. I’ve been asked what I’d like and they have done it. I’ve had so many times places going above and beyond. Simple requests like swapping pork for halloumi or ordering an omelette at dinner were immediately refused. Vegetarian and vegan options were disappointing too, and some “vegan” items didn’t even seem to vegan. They don’t know about the diet. That said, the spa was excellent and easily the best part of the hotel. The gym was also very good, the sea views were beautiful, and several members of staff truly did provide great service. The manager and the other woman in charge of another area of the hotel we spoke with also listened carefully to feedback and didn’t dismiss our concerns. Overall, F Zeen has potential. It lacks the consistency, attention to detail, flexibility, and level of service I that should be expected from a true 5-star hotel. We did end up leaving a few nights sooner. Which the manager helped out with, and the hotel did not just just keep all the money. He did all he could to help out. I went in May. So I wouldn’t like to know how it is in busy season.
