“Light and airy hotel with lovely staff”

Very enjoyable stay at this pleasant hotel. Attractive setup round the very clean pool. Our room was light and airy facing north so it wasn't too hot on the balcony at tiffin time. Very enjoyable stay at this pleasant hotel. Attractive setup round the very clean pool. Our room was light and airy facing north so it wasn't too hot on the balcony at tiffin time. Just a few steps up as it was on the first floor. We had a good sized new looking fridge and kettle plus mugs. Great as we like our morning tea. Unfortunately the air con unit belonging to the apartment nextdoor puffed out warm air, I just positioned the shutter in front of it. The a/c unit from the room above leaked onto the large flat area in front of us but it wasn't a problem. We actually didn't use ours, preferring to leave the windows ajar. Also above us there were smokers which wouldn't have bothered us but the ash ended up on our balcony shelf. Just thoughtlessness that's all. And it only happened a couple of times. The lovely cleaning staff did a brilliant job in that heat. Very impressed. We only used the bar once as we ate and drank out mostly. But it was nice with friendly staff. The sunbeds on some days were full but we didn't sit round the pool much. Nice to have the grassy area. Glad the hotel was out of town albeit on the main road as the resort is quite lively. Would recommend this adult only hotel.

This was our 3rd year in a row at Sunrise hotel, which speaks volumes. It is a lovely hotel, in a location that is in easy reach of the restaurants & bars (15 min walk) & not much further to the beach. The first 2 years coming here were all inclusive, but this year it changed to bed & breakfast, which was fine for us as we like to got out. The grounds were well maintained, the pool was clean & we always managed to obtain 2 sunbeds together (with cushioned mattresses). The room was adequate with ample storage space, shower worked fine, daily maid service & clean towels. We had an upstairs room, which was not an issue for us, though I have read reviews where it can be a problem to some guests who have mobility issues as there are no lifts. During the day, when drinks were ordered at the pool bar, staff brought them over to us at our sunbeds, often along with a small bowl of complimentary crisps. The card machine at the bar was out of order throughout our stay, so they asked us to sign a receipt & we paid each evening at reception for the drinks we'd had that day, which was no problem. Bar staff & reception staff were pleasant, polite & helpful. Not much happened in the evening at the hotel, with only a few in the bar area, some people sat on their balcony's but we headed out each evening for a meal & drinks in the lovely town which we really enjoyed; there are some lovely tavernas & bars. A lovely relaxing holiday in a lovely hotel & we would definitely return. Thank you Sunrise staff.

Hotel Lovely small hotel with a good size pool area. Lots of sunbeds available however I could see the sun bed rush being an issue during peak season. Hotel Lovely small hotel with a good size pool area. Lots of sunbeds available however I could see the sun bed rush being an issue during peak season. Large room however we were gifted the “rooster suite” which benefitted from 247 rooster callings from the nearby chicken farm. Multiple Roosters who have no idea of time so they just call all day and night! We had a storm on the first evening and the whole room was flooded - the staff dealt with this quickly and efficiently. Hotel is a good 25 minutes walk to the beach, 20 minutes to bars and restaurants. Staff Most staff are wonderful and so friendly. The ladies in the bar/restaurant always greeted you with a smile and always helpful. They are an absolute asset to the hotel. As was the friendly gardener. The manager on reception and his PA were not the most friendly. No have you had a nice stay , we are happy to welcome you back should you decide to return. No they just handed us our restaurant bill, we paid and that was it. I think the customer service on reception could do with improving. Food Some of the best food I’ve had from a Greek hotel. So many delicious things available and at amazing prices and as always - served with a smile. Would I return? Resort /island yes, hotel no. Bit too far out the resort and the customer service from the manager would need improving .
