From the moment we arrived, until we left, the staff could not be more lovely. They are all so polite and helpful. They work really long hours but are always cheerful. The pool guy was unintrusive, quietly did his jobs and snuck off again Our cleaners were swift and even created some delightful towel art on the bed. The location is stunning... the water is warm and clear and never crowded. We had a suite with its own pool and view of the sea.... we felt really spoilt.... it was perfect. The evenings were quiet, we enjoyed the singers that are there a few times a week. We also joined in with some Greek dancing. We enjoyed meeting Costas, the hotel cat, and some of his wild friends. We went to the a la carte evening.... fabulous selection of traditional Greek food. There is so much choice, food wise, there is always something to tempt you! Thanks to all the staff.... it is a great hotel and we would love to return some day!

We have just come back from a week at the Ibiscus, we had an excellent time. We really enjoyed the food (a lot of variety and really good salad bar and grilling area), we thought the pool snack bar was great. Good selection of drink available. We never had a problem getting a sunlonger around the pool area or on the grass part. Only a short walk to the sea from the pool. The staff are all friendly and couldn’t do enough. Our room was a sea view and had a great view, only slight negative is that I thought it could have been cleaned a bit better but on the whole it was clean/new towels etc every day. The hotel is probably not really suitable for younger children but the kids we did see there seemed to be having a good time around the pool. We booked two excursions at reception and they was easy to book and pick up was all from outside the hotel/on time etc. Overall a really relaxing stay. We are a little bit confused at some of the negative reviews as that wasn’t our experience at all.

“Idyllic Ibiscus for peace and quiet with lovely staff”

We had a week's cruise and then spent a week at this hotel (26th June to 3rd July). What an excellent choice that was. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were made so welcome and all of the staff couldn't do enough for us. We were very lucky with our room allocation (519) and couldn't fault it as it had everything we needed. We had a few issues with house-keeping which we took up with reception (Sara and Eleni). On the day we left our cleaner came up to us and apologised which was a nice gesture. The hotel is in a lovely location, at the top of a hill via a narrow lane with beautiful views across the sea. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning too! The hotel is spread out with many different small blocks which only have 2 floors, there are also some rooms that have shared pools and the suites which each have their own individual pool. It is very easy to walk around the grounds and gardens, and there is also a "secret walk" opposite reception in a wooded area. There are plenty of steps so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for people with walking difficulties, but it meant we could walk off some of the calories from the lovely food! The hotel is slightly isolated but does provide a complimentary minibus to take guests to/from the village of Roda where there is a selection of bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and from where you can then catch a local bus to other parts of the island including Corfu Town itself. The main restaurant is just opposite reception and has a fantastic sea view. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners here (we didn't normally eat lunch although shared a snack occasionally at the pool bar). There was always an excellent choice on offer, including the "live cooking" area, and we were very well looked after by the staff. We spent our days by the pool (the sunbeds were very comfortable as they had mattresses) and also on the grassy seated area nearby. There was never a problem finding a sunbed particularly as the hotel has a "do not reserve" policy. The pool bar was very popular and the staff couldn't have been more charming, even though they were very busy! It was great that you could help yourself to fresh cold water from the dispenser - and I often asked Christos or Niko to put some ice into our insulated mugs before adding the water. There is a fridge which is stocked with food (clearly labelled) with a selection of wraps, baguettes, fruit and salads. In addition there are "toastie sandwiches" - you just need to put them in the machine. There is also some hot food you can get if you're feeling peckish. This hotel is exactly what we needed after a week's cruise. It is very low-key although does provide some evening entertainment most nights. We particularly enjoyed Paula and George with their music/singing which had many guests dancing, including us! It's always great fun dancing with other people from different nationalities. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday but what made it extra special was the staff. Despite the extremely long hours they work, they were always smiling, polite, efficient but very friendly. Quite often the staff would have several roles during the day so might be serving you at breakfast and then at the bar in the evening. I cannot remember everybody but the ones that particularly stood out for us are Sara, Eleni, Coni, Antonia, Constantina, Vangellis, Christos, Niko, Dimitri and, of course, Kostas. A special thanks to these people for their patience when I tried to use some Greek words! We had a fantastic time and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anybody who is looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing. Part of this hotel's charm is its individuality and Greek atmosphere - it definitely isn't part of a large chain so don't expect to be entertained all day. Just chillax and enjoy! We have some lovely memories to cherish from our stay, and attach a few photos of some of the staff. Hopefully we will come back again to make more memories. “Second Visit”

We returned for the second time to this hotel as we enjoyed it so much last year. The peaceful location, beautiful scenery and low key evening entertainment is a plus for us. We returned for the second time to this hotel as we enjoyed it so much last year. The peaceful location, beautiful scenery and low key evening entertainment is a plus for us. Admittedly we are in the more senior age group and would agree that this is possibly not a hotel for families with young children (ie. no playground or amusements). We had a room with swim up pool and were also able to use the main pool - no trouble finding free sun beds. Staff are friendly and obliging and most helpful if trying to book an excursion for example. Any minor issues we had were soon sorted. We found food in the restaurant offered plenty of choice for us and all waiting staff are very friendly (special mention to Vangellis). Views from restaurant and bar are stunning. Also a special mention to Dimitris, the bar manager, always on the ball with drinks orders! Very efficient service from other bar staff too - bringing orders to the table. Maybe a couple of small criticisms - we found the rooms were not being cleaned as thoroughly as last year but any problem was quickly addressed. Also maybe the outside smoking areas could be reviewed - as non smokers the terraces outside the bar were more or less a no go area for us, which is a shame. This being said, we will definitely be returning next year.
