After a very unhappy start when we found some issues with the initial cleaning of our room, our mood and tolerance not helped by an awful 2hr+ transfer journey with a disgraceful and dangerous coach multi person transfer provided by Suntransfers.com through Inspired Luxury Escapes who just dropped us off in pitch black pouring rain .5 mile from the hotel, we had a lovely time at the Unda hotel in room 6009 with its own private swimming pool attached. Following our Initial issues which the management acknowledged and sincerely apologised for our room was kept spotlessly clean with towels and beds being changed, it seemed, daily and tea and fresh milk being supplied daily. Of particular note was the huge comfortable bed and the superb double shower that had 2 overhead shower heads and 2 handheld showers with fabulous pressure and plenty of piping hot water. Our private pool was crystal clear and both it and our patio was cleaned every day. Similarly, the whole hotel site was kept exceptionally clean. Unusually, for us, we booked ‘all inclusive’ and were delighted with the whole package. We are not huge eaters or drinkers, but we do like our food and alcoholic drinks to be of the highest quality which is why we normally shy away from all inclusive which we have previously found to be just awful. Not the case at Unda. From the great selection available at breakfast (including a very welcome selection of fresh fruit and real orange juice) through to dinner and finally drinks after dinner everything was top quality. A major plus for us was the staff. Without exception they were all superb. Happy cheerful, very hard working, diligent and willing to do anything to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Our sincere thanks to them all. Would we stay again, probably not because we don’t think we will be visiting Corfu again but if we were it would have to be Unda.

“Quality, well run hotel!”

Just arrived back from a week’s stay at Unda for October half term as a party of 6 (3 adults, 3 children (15, 13 & 4) over two rooms. This hotel is a gem, everything is brand new, clean and most of all, relaxing. We arrived fairly late into Corfu so had arranged for a private transfer to the hotel which was well worth the 75 euro cost and we are at the hotel in under an hour. Check in was effortless whilst luggage was taken to our rooms which were tastefully and comfortably furnished. Service from all of the staff throughout our stay was excellent and the hotel is small enough to make it feel personal and bespoke. Food and drinks are of excellent quality, freshly prepared across breakfast, lunch and dinner. One of our children is neurodiverse and the chefs were very accommodating in responding to requests for specific foods for a very limited diet. There is no daily or evening entertainment and we were slightly worried about that before we arrived but it actually turned out to be a real plus, just chilled family time playing games, chatting and sampling the great drinks menu. Pool area is amazing with a fabulous pool with views across the med, poolside waiter service and a really chilled vibe. The hotel is around 15 min stroll into Roda which we did daily. The only thing for the hotel to consider for improvement for us would be a small one - charging customers for additional coffee pods for the in room (over the 4 provided) nespresso machine seams odd in a hotel like this, to say the least. Overall, this is one of the best weeks we have had in recent times, after usually opting for more family orientated resorts like Tui Sensatori. Unda is an excellent, well run hotel with great service in a beautiful part of Greece. We will be back.

“Good and not so good”

We were moved from one of Unda's sister hotels as they decided to close early for the end of season. The hotel is very modern with rooms decorated in wood, wicker and rugs. We had a swim up room. The room was kept spotlessly clean. My only problem was that there was no bathroom. There was a toilet with a door that locked, there was a great shower cubicle with a clear glass door that could hold at least 4 people and a wash hand basin which was situated across from the toilet, maybe I'm old fashioned, but I like a bathroom where I can close the door. The outside area didn't have a great lot of seating area, nor did the inside area, which wasn't ideal when it rained, and we had to sit in the dining room on a couple of occasions with a drink. For a 4.5/5 star hotel the food was terrible. It was never hot (I know that's usual abroad), but there was not even a microwave. The food was very samey with not a lot of choice. On a positive, the Staff were absolutely fabulous, nothing was too much trouble for them.
