My husband and I arrived at the Electra Kefalonia on the 3rd of June for 10 days. The front desk staff were waiting for our arrival and greeted us at the taxi, we were then offered drinks and checked in all very quick and off up to our lovely superior sea view room. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are first class catering to all your needs. There is a lovely choice for breakfast, and everyone can find something lovely to eat. The cakes are all freshly baked and the pastries are still warm, you have a choice of any of the coffee’s from iced coffee, latte, cappuccino ,americano or just a nice pot of tea. The restaurant is first class with views over the sea and stunning sun sets, lovely cocktails and a good selection of wine. The staff are always on hand if you need any help with dietary needs or a recommendation on wine with your meal. If you are just after a relaxing holiday no need to worry about getting a sun bed there are plenty to go round and you don’t have to rush to get a towel on a sun bed, seemed a lot of guests are out and about seeing the island as the Electra hotel is ideally situated to visit the north and south of the island. If you want to know the best places to visit or to hire a car or quad bike, just ask Christos on front desk and he will get everything sorted for you. Apart from the hotel which is lovely the one thing that stood out most to us was the staff, nothing is too much trouble, and they are always there with a smile ready to help. We will definitely be going back.

“Lovely hotel, conveniently situated, staff excellent.”

Had a lovely short stay here with my daughter. Super convenient as close to airport and I didn’t want to drive, had wonderful suite with our own pool, beach 5 mins walk away, supermarket approx 8 mins walk. Argostoli about 15 mins in taxi if you want to visit to spot the turtles and do some shopp… more

Had a lovely short stay here with my daughter. Super convenient as close to airport and I didn’t want to drive, had wonderful suite with our own pool, beach 5 mins walk away, supermarket approx 8 mins walk. Argostoli about 15 mins in taxi if you want to visit to spot the turtles and do some shopping. Had half board and the staff looked after us so well as my daughter has some intolerances. Also had a couple of treatments at the spa which was a lovely and much needed treat. Yes it is close to the runway but to be honest didn’t bother us at all, seems we have turned into involuntary plane spotters. Hope the Jet2 flight that had to go around managed to land safely!!! Already missing our pool - but huge thanks to all the hard working staff who made it a special stay.

We discovered this hotel online on the Thursday and after return emails with the lovely Katerina, who assured us that they could cater for myself being gluten intolerant (Coeliac), we booked and arrived three days later 31st May for 7 nights. Not only were we concerned, as we always are when travelling and going to a new place re: my intolerance, but we also weren’t quite sure re: the close proximity of the airport runway we had read about and also building work being carried out next door. Well we needn’t have been! What a very special place we had found full of very special people :)) We arrived as strangers and feel we left as friends. Both myself and my husband considered breakfast here was to a very high standard. Even though the lunch and dinner menu is somewhat limited as some people have previously mentioned and there were a few choices that straight off I was unable to choose, every day I was helped to make a gluten free choice with the restaurant manager's help even mixing things around. We were half board but ate lunch every day at the hotel because I felt so confident that everyone was looking after me and seemed to be clued up on cross contamination too. The gluten free food for myself and everything for my husband that came out of the kitchen was simply stunning and of restaurant quality. The chefs certainly know what they are doing and everything is cooked with love! The operations manager sourced some gluten free Greek lager for us to purchase also! We weren’t bothered at all by the building works while we were there and were actually fascinated by the aircraft flying so low over the hotel. Many good videos were taken …… it added something. The hotel is exceptionally clean, built with style, class and attention to detail. All furniture everywhere was comfortable with quality furnishings inc. bedding/towel/bathrobes. Having fly screens you can pull across your open balcony door and bathroom window just makes perfect sense! Our room was so well looked after by housekeeping and lovely touches were supplied as standard. This isn’t the cheapest place to eat and drink by far, your large bottle of water if you want it at lunch and dinner was chargeable which we felt could have been complimentary, but what you are getting is quality. We had pure relaxation in this calm and peaceful oasis and were totally looked after by one and all! We very much hope to return to be greeted by all their smiling faces again :))
