We booked this holiday last minute through Jet2 and all round found it a nice time. There are definitely areas for improvement, but I think the one star reviews are extremely harsh and not reflective of the hotel. Location - this place is in a lovely quiet part of Zante, with easy access to a beach nearby and short walk to shops and a supermarket. It’s also not far from the airport. The rooms - the bedrooms are lovely, recently had an upgrade and we found the space very comfortable and modern. The AC was great which was also key given the time of year. Bathroom was outdated, and the drains had a slightly odd smell to them which was off putting at times. Food and drink - this wasn’t the best we’ve had at an all inclusive. Cocktails were pre mixed, and there weren’t many available options. The food was ok but not great and the ‘snacks/afternoon tea’ slots were the same plain cake brought out again. I would say putting a bit variety into this area would go a long way with retaining customers. Staff - the staff were one of the highlights of the place. The front of house staff and bar team were fabulous, hard working, and helpful. The chef also gave us food when we arrived late at night. We did have a few run ins with who seemed to be the general manager/owner of the place, which seems to be a common theme looking at the reviews. The phrase ‘learn to pick your battles’ comes to mind. Jet2 were fab to book through, the transfers were very easy and the price for the stay was good. I’m not sure we would choose to come back here - but it was by no means disappointing for a short stay.

We have just got back from a short break at Gerakas Belvedere. We had a great time. It is quiet and a bit remote but we knew this before we went. The hotel is beautiful and spotless and the surrounding area is very lush. The staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. The room we were in could do with a bit of updating, especially the bathroom but it was clean and functional. We really enjoyed all of the food, it was varied and plentiful and had the most amazing salads. The all inclusive drinks were fine, I don t feel I have ever been to an all Inclusive where the drinks are not watered down. There was a variety of cocktail you could have and I tried them all. We walked to both beaches, Porto Roma and Gerakas beach and they are both an easy short walk away and we spend a lovely day on each. There are two restaurants at Porto Roma and we ate a lovely lunch in one. You do have to buy a sunbed at Poto Roma at €25 for two and an umbrella as there is nowhere to lie on a towel. Gerakas beach is a lot bigger and you can buy a sunbed for€30 for two or you can just lay on a towel. A lot of this beach is roped off to protect the turtle nests. At Gerakas beach there are several bar/restaurants plus a supermarket and the turtle centre which is free to go in. On the way back from Porto Roma beach there are another two tavernas and the Perfetto Taverna at the back of the hotel, which serves lovely food and plays the football. We didn't walk to it but there is another supermarket and Italian restaurant the other way. We used the spa and that was lovely and relaxing, they do lots of offers for massages etc. There is not entertainment in the evening, it is a very quiet vibe with people just chatting and playing cards. If you want an all singing and dancing All Inclusive I don't think this is the place for you, but if you want a beautiful hotel and a chilled holiday I would definitely recommend it. P.s. I do have to agree with one comment they do strip your bed and leave the folded sheets for you to make the bed back up. I think the hotel should address this as people do not expect to make up their own beds on holiday. Just a minor negative.

We booked a last minute break with Jet 2 to this hotel, we do not normally do all inclusive but the price was good so we thought we had nothing to lose. Booked a sea view room, which was stunning, brand new furniture and bed etc, shame they didn't do the bathroom but it did the job, although the water pressure was not great! Food options were good most of the time, breakfast great, lunch good too, loads of salads. Some evening meal less choices and once empty not replenished. Drinks were obviously watered down, beer was very weak and wine too. Spirits seemed to be all the same colour white regardless of what you ordered. There are no snacks available just some biscuits or cake, which is a shame if you have kids. Overall, we enjoyed the week, the football was on in the bar up road and atmosphere was good. We would return.

The hotel has a great location within a walking distance to Gerakas Beach with lovely views around. If you feel like exploring the local area on foot, you can walk to the picturesque Porto Roma beach or even the long and wide, sandy Banana beach, or if you wish, you can rent a car to explore the island even more. From Gerakas beach you can also walk up the hill, following the path to the right, to see the impressive white rocks. As if it comes to food, the buffet serves tasty savoury food including fish, seafood, meat dishes (pork, beef, chicken), fresh and baked vegetables with new options appearing every day. You can taste and learn the names of some Greek dishes as there are lables next to the trays. The sweet options for dessert include delicious cakes, ice cream, fresh fruit, mainly juicy and sweet yellow melon, watermelon, pieces of oranges, grapefruit, apples, occasionally pineapple and kiwi. The range of food to me was sufficient, maybe not as wide as in bigger hotels, but there was a good variety to choose from to compose a balanced meal with fruit and delicious cake to end with. We enjoyed the Greek relaxing music sounds during our evening meals. The service is wonderful, the staff very helpful and hospitable. One small issue in the room was fixed promptly. The room we had was clean, beds with very comfortable matresses, which is important for us, the reusable glass water bottle in the fridge that we could fill up at the bar every day was a great idea. The only drawback may seem to be the insufficient number of sunbeds at the pool but we didn't have the problem, plus we spent some days on the beach and explored the island. Overall, it was a very relaxing holiday experience and I would return.
