We have just returned from our 4th visit to Atlantica Grand Mediterraneo, celebrating our anniversary, and once again we’ve had an amazing week. The whole team truly went above and beyond to make our stay so special. A huge thank you to everyone, including: Chrisa for arranging our room, and the wonderful front desk team — Magda, Katerina, Annie and Maria — for everything you do and for always making us feel so welcome. Costantinos — the place simply wouldn’t be the same without you. You are a real credit to the hotel! Greg, it was fantastic to see you again, and this time as Head Barman! Thank you for keeping us hydrated with your fantastic cocktails and, of course, for absolutely nailing the Bramble! 🍸 Odi, thank you for looking after us so well down at the White Pearl Restaurant. And Glykeria and Paraskevi at the spa — thank you for the incredible massages. Without doubt, the best massages we have had here. One person we did miss, though, was Costas’ friendly face down at the beach. We always appreciated him keeping everything in order and making sure the loungers were reserved for hotel guests. It’s one change that, in our opinion, perhaps hasn’t been for the better. Once again, thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary week so memorable. ❤️

We stayed at Atlantica Grand Mediterranean Resort for 10 nights, having previously stayed at the Atlantica in Kos, which was amazing we loved it so much we went back twice. So naturally, we had high expectations for this one. Unfortunately, although the hotel is nice, I wouldn’t consider it a 5-star or “Platinum” standard. Some areas are looking tired, the bar staff were fine but very very slow. The gym was also disappointing. The air conditioning was broken during our stay and the facilities themselves were very basic. Our room was fine, but if you’re expecting a luxurious 5-star room with a sea view, I’d manage your expectations. We had a partial sea view, but many rooms don’t appear to have much of a view at all. The hotel is very remote, which will suit some people, but personally I don’t think there’s enough at the resort to make you want to stay there for the entire holiday. The beach is also nothing particularly special. There were also a lot of wasps around the outdoor seating areas. The hotel burns coffee throughout the day and night to try to deter them, but the smell is quite unpleasant and unfortunately became a noticeable part of sitting outside. The entertainment was particularly bad. I appreciate hotel entertainment is rarely amazing, but some evenings were genuinely difficult to sit through. We also felt the hotel looks considerably better in the online photos than it does in person. The location itself is beautiful and the sunsets are incredible, but that’s really the biggest highlight for us. Overall, we had a nice holiday, and maybe we’re very picky but compared with our previous Atlantica experience in Kos, this hotel fell quite short of expectations. If it were marketed as a good 4-star resort, I think we would have been much less disappointed. For a Platinum/5-star hotel, we simply expected more.
