We had an incredible 11 nights at the Atlantica Grand Mediterraneo and were so sad to have to leave. A gorgeous setting, great facilities, delicious food - cannot complain! (I will dream of the greek night at the buffet 😍) But what really makes this place special is the staff who are all so friendly and go above and beyond to help you. From all of the drivers smiling faces, to Costas's greetings at dinner, to Poppi's delicious omelettes at breakfast - all top tier. But for me the jewels in the Atlantica's crown were Yuri and Agne from the Vertigo bar whose delicious drinks, professionalism, expertise, charm and delightful company made our trip what it was - and we aren't even big drinkers! I would come again just to see their wonderful faces. I hope the Atlantica knows what stars it has working for them ♥️

I’m still here as I’m writing this but got a bit of spare time. We (my wife and I) upgraded to seaview before we came. We’re so happy that we did. We’re in room 301 which is at the end of the block and the view is absolutely amazing. We’re relatively well travelled and it’s by far the best view we’ve had. Looking down on the beach (more later) and looking at that crystal blue sea is a perfect way to enjoy a drink on the balcony. We’re here on a half board basis so breakfast/dinner. Even though it’s buffet style the food has been fantastic. Plenty of choice and variety. My wife is not a fan of buffets but even she’s impressed, which is no mean feat ! We’ve spent our days by the pool. I’m an early riser so getting a lounger is no problem. If you leave it too late (after 9) the best spots are taken. Hotel provides towels which is a bonus and you can change them as often as you like. Must mention the water aerobics. Never seen it so popular ! The two girls we saw were excellent but think the hotel could invest in a microphone for them to help out. Now for a negative (which the hotel can do nothing about in fairness). The beach was a let down for us. I’m very much a beach person but wouldn’t spend the day on this one. Just didn’t do it for me. Sand and shingle isn’t for me. I know I’m being fussy but it didn’t detract from our time here at all. Plus if I wasn’t so lazy there are beaches near by we could have visited. The staff (always finish on a positive). Absolutely fantastic. From our check in (Martha was amazing) to all the front of house staff our experience has been flawless. So kind and considerate and can’t do enough for you. I’ve never stayed anywhere that the team has been this good. Such nice friendly people. I know it’s their job but it really makes a difference. The restaurant staff, the guys giving us lifts in the golf carts, the reception team and the house keeping team I really can’t praise you enough you’re all stars. If the boss gets to see this you should be giving them a big bonus !!!! Thanks to all at the Atlantica you’ve given us the perfect holiday.

This was our 3rd visit to this Hotel, the previous two I could not fault at all. However it's clear there have been a few changes since our last visit. Unlike other reviewers, fortunately we did not have a problem with checking in at reception it took 10 minutes. In general the hotel and facilities have not changed much at all, plenty of sun loungers, good food, if a bit samey after a few days, but always well presented and replenished regularly throughout the meal service. The main problem for us was the service. On our first night we went up to the bar about 6pm and found that non of the tables had been cleared, there was still lunch plates and dirty glasses everywhere, even around the poolside, which is not very good for health and safety. There were hardly any staff around, just one person behind the bar. If you ask for coffee at breakfast they now just pour you a cup and finding someone for a top up is not easy. Whereas they used to bring a full pot and leave it on the table for you. Used plates would not be taken away quickly enough during meal times, which caused a problem with constant wasps everywhere. One evening many people moved indoors to avoid them. Breakfast starts at 7.30 but if you get there too early there is hardly any serving staff around. One morning we arrived for breakfast at 8am and the tables had not been set, there were no staff to be seen. Eventually a couple arrived and started setting everything out but it took till 8.30 before our table was complete. At the same time someone arrived and took away a serving trolley that had been parked behind their "service station" that was loaded with the previous evening's dirty plates and glasses. No wonder there is a wasp problem. On a few occasions service was well underway in the restaurant and they hadn't changed the food description cards from that of the previous evening. The serving staff are very polite and do their best but seem to be let down by poor restaurant management. They used to have good restaurant managers who kept everything moving efficiently and seemlessly. Those that we saw just stood around doing nothing, even though it was obvious there were problems. They also need to stop people from vaping at tables during mealtimes. That's what the bar area is for. Unsure if we will make another visit here, which is a shame as it is a lovely hotel in a beautiful position but it needs to up it's game again.
