Hello, My wife and I chose Elysium Resort for our honeymoon and I must admit that it was a special experience from all points of view. I must admit that we also had a more special welcome due to the fact that we were on our honeymoon and I really appreciated this. It was our first vacation in Rhodes Island and implicitly at Elysium. The landscapes are special on Rhodes Island and I think that a 7-day stay is far too short to explore everything, especially since at Elysium we enjoyed all the facilities thought out in the smallest detail for the client and it was difficult for us to move away from the extremely pleasant and friendly atmosphere of the resort. The location is extremely well positioned, the last resort on the right side towards Rhodes Town, which offers a perfect combination of beach, rock and sea. I considered everything to be superlative: the staff, the location, the atmosphere, the facilities, the food, the cleanliness, the rooms, the services and all of these together add value to the place, in a perfect relationship with the natural setting which is of particular beauty. It is difficult for me to mention something or someone in particular, because everyone contributes to this wonderful setting, but I cannot help but mention Mr. Manoliss who is a truly special person. Thank you all for this wonderful stay and I hope to see you again! Good luck and success in everything! God help you!

So to start with this is the second time we have been here we first came 2 years ago for our Honeymoon and we loved the place, This time we came back for our Anniversary! The beach is lovely and the location is good it has a bus stop right out side which goes both ways either to Rhodes which costs 2.50 euros or Filaraki which i think was 1.50 euros and is opposite the hotel both pretty easy to get to on a number 40 bus. The dining area is great you can choose were you want to sit and unlike other places you get escorted to a free table and seated rather than lots of people roaming around looking for somewhere to sit which is still the case, I really like this about the place. There was then and still now the most amazing server called Marilena from the first day she remembers what you like and if you have a dietary requirement she brings you things you can eat... can not say enough good things about her. The food in the buffet is pretty good there is plenty of it and you can always find something you like, However there is a manger in the dining area that only talks to the 'rich' people and clearly only for tips, its actually a little embarrassing my husband and i called him 'Roy Slater' (only the British will understand why!) you'll know him if you see him. when we arrived we were shown to a room which didn't have the best views so they moved us which was great as well. That said when we came 2 years ago the house keeping was much better, they filled our fridge with cans of drink and chocolate and fresh water every day and clean towels, if you wanted the bed changed you just leave the little notice on the bed and they would leave little chocolates when it was done and every day they made a different animal out for you towel and even put little eyes on it and the room and balcony was spotless, going back this time it was all very different! In the room fridge when you arrive there was a bottle of water and a bottle of wine, and standard tea and coffee but none of this got replaced! when i rang to room service to ask where the water was they told me it was only on arrival now, but i could buy it from the shop! The shop were 1 jar of Hipp baby food was 7 euro.. The cleaning in the room was half arsed at best and i ran out of shower gel at one point and had to go to reception to ask for it to be refilled, the pillows were thrown on the bed rather than placed and the scatter cushioned were never put back on the bed after the first day, the towels were hung for the first couple of days but definitely feel because we weren't tipping the house keeping the service got worse as the time went on buy the end of the holiday the towels were just being thrown in the bathroom! The balcony wasn't swept once. The bed is changed every day unless you say you don't want it done, which clearly annoyed them. This might all sound like little things if this is your first time coming here but standards have defiantly slipped from 2 years ago and expect higher standard of a 5 star hotel. The final straw was we had late check out as we had a late flight, we needed to be out the room at 6pm, i was getting the last few bits from the bathroom and wearing the spa slippers they supply slipped on the bathroom floor, falling into the shower and badly cutting my elbow and hurting my hip narrowly missed hitting my head on the shower wall, my husband picked up and laid me on the bed as i had gone dizzy and was trying to stop the bleeding... anyway the point to this all is we got down to reception at 6.13 and i explained what had happened and apologised we were late and told her what had happened, the receptionist said 'Ah yes this happens' 'you need to watch the time'!! So i take from this that it has happened before, if you do decide to go here take this as your warning the floors are slippery when wet! To sum up we will probably not be coming back again although i will always have the scare on my elbow (which did need stitches) to remind me of my time here.....

This is a difficult review to write as we were pleased with the hotel in general such as the food, cleanliness, pool area, polite staff etc however we were not treated like Elite guests which we had paid for. We arrived at 2:30am so met a porter rather than a proper reception staff, he gave us a key, took the money for the city tax and sent us on our way. We did not get the welcome drink or free dinner on arrival due to arriving in the middle of the night. (You were given a 20euro voucher each for missed dinner but you weren’t allowed to use them together at the same dinner even though you would have eaten together if we had arrived earlier?) When we reached our room, we found a double bed and a see through wall into the shower. This holiday was for myself and my adult daughter, we had requested and had had acknowledged 4 times separate beds but this hadn’t happened. We immediately went back to reception to find the staff member now snoozing on the sofa. He said to speak to reception in the morning as there was nothing he could do. We did this, they claimed we had already been upgraded to superior premium level but this was untrue as we showed the booking form and we had paid for superior premium already. They tried to lie! The general manager then did offer us a junior suite but we couldn’t get in it until the next night so we lived out of suitcases for a while. Meanwhile, we still hadn’t been told about the elite lounge or anything about the benefits of elite until we stumbled upon it and some with another guest on day 3. In the junior suite albeit a lovely room. The shower didn’t work but maintenance did come and sort it quite quickly. My main criticism is that we had also paid extra for full board but only received half board. It wasn’t until day 6 of our 7 day holiday that we were told by one of the waitresses in fresh that we didn’t have to pay at lunch. We had not been told this, probably due to not getting a welcome meet on arrival. The prices around the restaurants and pool were really really high and so had spent the week eating crisps and snacks from the shop which was reasonably priced. I went to our elite lounge, she apologised, she also said I need to check out early the next day as someone had already booked our room. She did offer us yet another room move until 4pm. I feel we were not treated well all week. I asked if we could use the spa as compensation rather than paying 50euro for it, she called the manager and they agreed ok, for our last day and due to late check out we could. The last day arrived, handing over the keys at 11 and no access to the spa was in our notes. They were expecting me to just hang around the hotel for 12 hours with no room, no shower and once you check out no access to the lounge or restaurants either (even though we still hadn’t had our missed dinner voucher). Finally battled with the lady and was given access to the spa free of charge for the day so could use the showers and store our luggage. Overall we came away very disappointed with how we were treated considering the price paid. This was supposed to be a special trip for my daughter and I and just feel a bit conned
