We had a wonderful family stay at Mitsis Faliraki Beach and came away extremely impressed with the overall quality of the hotel. The resort is very well maintained, the facilities are excellent, and there is always something to enjoy without feeling that you need to leave the hotel. The pools, beach access, bars, restaurants, evening entertainment and activities all contributed to a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The food was consistently very good, with plenty of variety, and the all-inclusive concept was genuinely convenient and well executed. Drinks were easily available throughout the day, the service was efficient, and the overall atmosphere felt comfortable and high quality. What really stood out, however, was the staff. Service throughout the hotel was warm, professional and friendly, and we would especially like to mention Mikos and Demetrius, who made a particularly positive impression on us and helped make our stay feel even more special. We travelled as a family with two children and found the hotel to be a great balance between a high-quality resort experience and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. Highly recommended.

“Got to be the best 5 star hotel”

Just returned from a week here and thought I'd do a review with pros/cons as found this useful when researching the hotel. Food was also very good in the main buffet, was hesitant after reading some mixed reviews but had no issues. Pan Asian and Greek restaurant were also very nice Entertainment was great in the evening Beach and waiters there were also a nice touch and brilliant in bringing drinks to you! Had no issues with sunbeds on the beach and was good being able to get fresh towels each day Location is good, Faliraki is a typical tourist area but it was good to walk around at night Daily mini bar refill was excellent. Cannot fault. Cons: We booked onto the Symi Island trip via the hotel, went to the meeting place ahead of schedule, no one appeared (in fact, we think someone went past and did not stop for us!). I contacted hotel who said that there was some traffic delays (would have been nice to have been told) We waited some more, and nothing, walked back to hotel to speak to Concierge who said the driver was waiting for us, walked back there and he'd gone even after we asked for them to stay. Luckily we were booked into the next day's trip but it felt like we were treated as if we weren't at the meeting place and had deliberately missed the bus. When we went back to check that details were correct, the Concierge lady (Olga?) was pretty dismissive and rude and basically said we didn't turn up for the trip originally. We had a private pool which was nice BUT there were no sunloungers and terrace area was very small. Pool was great for cooling off but we spent more time at the beach so we could actually relax. To me, the whole point of a private pool and terrace area is so you don't need to go elsewhere and can enjoy some peace and quiet. I understand the shared pool rooms have sunloungers so wish we'd booked that but wanted some more privacy. Wouldn't necessarily say housekeeping was the best, I am sure our bathroom bin wasn't emptied daily and began to smell, which isn't great due to being unable to flush toilet roll! We also found that beds were made but pjs etc were just chucked around, have been to other Mitsis hotels where they've folded pjs nicely or tidied up a little more. Bathroom was also pretty dated. It was awkward to shower as the taps were right under the shower head so you almost ended up walking into the taps in order to shower. The room was also dated but functional, however was pretty dark. We had lights but not really a main one to illuminate the room. This made getting ready a bit tricky, we could have opened the patio door curtains but it meant people could walk past and look in! I know you don't come on holiday to watch TV but there were hardly any decent English channels, sometimes it's nice to have something on when getting ready and there was no option to use a firestick etc. I wouldn't say it's anything the hotel could do as such, but we found sitting outside watching the entertainment at times almost unpleasant due to the sheer amount of smokers. Perhaps a non-smoking area would be nice? We come from the UK where we have separate areas and found some people had no respect in terms of smoking/blowing smoke over people. It would have been nice to have a snack bar at the beach so you didn't have to go back to the buffet for lunch? We also did not receive welcome drinks or cold towels like we saw some people receive and were part of the loyalty club (although lowest level!)

We’ve just returned from a holiday in Rhodes, staying at Mitsis Faliraki with friends. Overall, we had a really enjoyable holiday and there were lots of positives, but there were also a few things that stopped us from feeling this was a five-star experience. For us, it would be closer to **4 stars**. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by the reception staff, who took us to our room. We had paid extra for an upgraded family room, which was spacious and nicely suited to our family. Unfortunately, there were quite a lot of drain flies in the bathroom, which wasn’t ideal. **The biggest issue for families is the location of the family rooms.** If you have young children and are looking for somewhere peaceful to relax during the day, I would definitely think carefully before booking one of these rooms. Our family room was right next to Club 8, where the bass was extremely loud from around 10am until 7pm. The volume, particularly the bass, was incredibly difficult to ignore and meant that relaxing or having any quiet time in the room during the day was virtually impossible. One member of staff was incredibly helpful when we raised this and moved us to a room in the main hotel. We really appreciated them trying to resolve the issue. However, even after moving, we could still hear the music from the club, so unfortunately it remained an issue. We were given an area at Club 8 free of charge to apologise but didn’t use this as we did not have time. We also noticed after being at the hotel for a few days that other families arriving were being offered welcome drinks and hot/cold towels, which we hadn't been offered on arrival. It would have been nice to have received the same welcome. The staff throughout the hotel were generally friendly and hardworking. The housekeeping team were also efficient in communal areas, although on one morning they knocked at around 9am and seemed quite put out when we asked if they could return a little later. Our room could also have been cleaner, particularly with quite a lot of dust underneath the beds, although generally the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel was good. **The buffet was one of the highlights.** There was a great choice of food and plenty to suit everyone. The bolognese was particularly popular with all of the children in our group! There was also a good selection of desserts, which were very nice. The à la carte restaurants were a bit more mixed. Some were excellent, while others didn't quite live up to expectations. We found that some restaurants were very accommodating when we asked for small changes to dishes for the children, whereas others were less flexible. With a group including several children, some of whom were quite fussy eaters, this could make mealtimes a little challenging. The **crepe and ice cream stations and pool bar were great**. The bar staff worked incredibly hard, especially considering how busy they were, and the queues moved surprisingly quickly. The Hugo Spritzes were a particular hit! The crepe station was also very popular, but again, the queues didn't tend to be too long. The pool slide was another big hit with the children. The lifeguard deserves a special mention for being really attentive and making sure children used the slide safely, particularly stopping anyone trying to come down the wrong way. However, the noise from Club 8 was a significant issue, particularly for families with younger children who may want some downtime during the day. Along with a few smaller points around the room, housekeeping and the consistency of the welcome, these things meant that, for us, it fell short of a five-star experience.
