Great 10-night stay with all the pluses. Hotel was close to the old town which cost 10 euros by taxi each way. Very convenient. Our seaview room on the higher floor had nice sea and pool views. Unfortunately, our balcony was made of concrete wall and so very little sea could be seen whilst sitting down. Services from all staff in the restaurants, bars, housekeeping were great. Always be greeted with a smile. To our surprise in a nice way, we received the same great service even after checking out. The table services and food menus at restaurants including the buffet restaurant were top-notch. We particularly liked the a la carte Asian restaurant. The authenicity and presentation of food were very closed to fine dining and what you would get at a 5-star hotel restaurant. It was definitely worth to go for all inclusive package which also included premium drinks. We enjoyed our prosecco and Henessy Cognac and coke at the bar every evening. Pool bars offered QR code ordering system. Food and drinks would be delivered to your sun lounges. You did not need to get up at all. Pool was big and public toilet was always very clean. We also enjoyed the evening entertainment programs particularly loved the two boy bands. The cooking class with Chef Michael was fun. So was the ceramic class especially when Mickey and Minnie stopped by to say hello. They just made all guests, children and adults smile and excited. Unless you are a beach goer (the beach near the hotel was not great) , I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Would we come back, 110% yes.

“Has positives but definitely not 5 star”

Okay but definitely not 5*. We have stayed in hotels across Europe at varying price points over the last ten years, and had high hopes for Atrium Platinum due to its large number of 5* reviews across multiple sites. Okay but definitely not 5*. We have stayed in hotels across Europe at varying price points over the last ten years, and had high hopes for Atrium Platinum due to its large number of 5* reviews across multiple sites. However, we were sadly disappointed as the hotel felt much more like an low-average 4* rather than a 5*. Positives: - We could not fault the service and all the staff were amazing; - The food at both breakfast and dinner (we stayed on half board) was also excellent (see image). Negatives: - Unfortunately the hotel is very dated and the rooms in particular gave the vibe of hostel/budget hotel much more so than the luxury one would expect at this price point. By way of non- exhaustive examples: 1. The TV appears to from the mid-2000s and feels like a historic relic more - it reminded us of the one we bought in 2005 and disposed of over ten years' ago. It was way too small in comparison to the room and had very limited channels (no world cup on which was a shame); 2. The furniture felt very cheap - eg chairs were all plastic, and very little by way of decoration. 3. Attention to detail was not at the level expected. The shampoo dispensers in the bathroom were empty when we arrived, which we had to ask to be filled. - The surrounding area is not that nice. Others have mentioned the lack of a private beach. The public beach is clearly in a state of disrepair, with little regard to litter etc. It is also on the other side of a very busy road, which is hard to cross and doesn't create the most relaxing atmosphere. - There are many extra charges. For example, the pool table/table tennis are all pay-to-play as part of the "games room". Why not just make these free given the price guests are paying? Nobody was using them anyway, and the goodwill this creates would surely far outweigh the 5-10 euros the hotel would presumably make from these. - The taxi scene is slightly chaotic at best and exploitative at worst. Admittedly not the fault of the hotel, but without apps such as uber it is worth noting that you may have to rely on the hotel helping you call a taxi. It is clear that the taxi drivers make up prices on the spot - our taxis to the old town varied between 12-20 euros; some other reviews mention theirs were 10 whilst others have cited up to 25. There should be more transparency and potentially agreements of fixed prices. Again, not the fault of the hotel per se, but leaves a bad taste of feeling ripped off. In short, very good service and food. But we left feeling that this was at most a 4* hotel and were questioning the authenticity of so many 5* reviews seemingly ignoring these obvious issues.
