Me and my husband stayed here for 5 days to attend a wedding in Pefkos and it was so lovely. The room was clean, modern and was quiet. It had such a lovely atmosphere for families even though we didn’t take our child, everyone was so friendly and the pool area is lovely! Sambica the lady in the food area was so so lovely and helpful! I couldn’t reccomended this hotel enough, the staff really care about you! Thank you so much!!! Fern xx

“Wonderful Family Holiday”

A wonderful stay at Pefkos Village. Such a great family orientated place. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment at the back of the complex, was huge (2 showers) with a big quiet & shady terrace. Housekeeping were excellent as were all the staff. Every morning we were looked after by Tsampika at breakfast who cannot do enough for you, proper Greek hospitality and excellent choice of food every morning. Thank you. In the late afternoon Natalia and Anthony would be on the bar & restaurant - lovely people, had lots of laughs with you guys, thanks. Food is excellent - when we return we’ll probably do half board for that reason. The hotel is a 15-20 min walk to pefkos which was hot in the heatwave but plenty taxis if you prefer. A supermarket is a 5-10 min walk up the hill. Kavos beach (beautiful) is a 5-10 min walk down the hill. A great place for families and our girls made friends there. The pool was always full of kids playing which was fab to see. Such a great holiday, hope to see you all again (and our four legged friends). Vasillis you have a great team and a great hotel, see you next year.

We stayed here to attend my sister’s wedding at Pefki Island. Overall, we have had a lovely holiday, but in my opinion the number of 5-star reviews for this accommodation is a little overrated. The hotel is definitely in need of some maintenance and a fresh coat of paint. There were many broken sunbeds around the pool that had not been repaired, seating areas covered in bird mess that weren’t cleaned, and a lot of standing surface water due to poor drainage. The pool water also became quite murky and didn’t look particularly clean by the end of our stay, despite looking much better when we first arrived. We also experienced quite a problem with ants. Considering the price of staying here, I don’t feel the hotel currently meets the standard I’d expect from a four-star property. It feels as though guests are paying four-star prices, but the upkeep isn’t matching that standard. That said, the hotel is lovely on an evening when it’s all lit up, creating a really nice atmosphere. The staff have been fantastic throughout our stay—friendly, welcoming and always helpful. One thing worth noting is that the walk into Pefkos is quite hilly. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it may be for others. There are also no lifts, so it isn’t particularly accessible for pushchairs or anyone with mobility issues. Have we had a lovely time? Absolutely. Would I return to this hotel? Personally, no.

Overall our experience was not a bad one but also was not what we expected. We were in an apartment not a hotel, which meant that we shared a block with many families with children. This meant lots of noise both day and night. For the first few days of our holiday, the cleanliness was not up to scratch. Neither the bathroom sink or tap or the sink and drainer were cleaned at all. This issue was rectified once it was reported to reception. Although the food was good and plentiful, the menu didn't vary. Many stray cats frequent the complex, and beg at tables whilst people are eating. A lot of them look emaciated, and the problem could easily be rectified if the hotel set up a feeding station away from the dining area. On the whole, the staff (cleaners excepted ), were excellent, especially Marina and Adella on reception and Julio in the dining room. The hotel is quite a long uphill walk from Pefkos centre, and too far for a couple in our age group. This meant lots of taxis, and lots of expense over 14 days. We wouldn't return to Pefkos Village but for many people, it could be ideal.
