The hotel did meet my expectations at first, the man on the reception desk was lovely (younger guy) and brought our suitcases up to our room as we had a young baby. We requested to be on the ground floor as we have a pram and there weren't any lifts (something I didn't notice when booking so good job I double checked before flying out) and to be fair we were on the ground floor but to get there we had to go up and down 2 flights of steps to get to the front door! Luckily my partner did the heavy lifting as I wasn't able to. The breakfast was a bit disappointing so glad I booked self catering, I paid for breakfast the first morning as I was hungry but the best thing about it was the cereal and fresh fruit. Our air-conditioning was amazing and so glad we paid the €70 for the week but the room was very dreary and unfortunately for us, full of ants! I don't think it was helpful being on the ground floor and we did go to reception on the first day but all they did was spray around the balcony doors so we just had to live with the constant invasion of ants all over the kitchen, bedroom area and balcony. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, yes the manager was a little grumpy but he was helpful to us and tried his best to answer all questions. The pool area was really nice, only downside was not enough sunbeds around the pool and the kids play area could have done to be shaded as there was no way any child could use it in 36 degrees. It's in a prime location and great access to bars, restaurants and the beach but for what we paid I wouldn't stay again. Also I was shocked that there is no baby change area in the main reception area as we asked to keep our room on but apparently they were full so we spent 8 hours in the bar area waiting for our coach as it was 37 degrees outside and not many bars have decent air conditioning. Also no luggage storage so we were worried about the luggage being left near the desk area.

Let's start with the positives, it has a fantastic location right in the centre of all the restaurants and bars, its only a 6 minute walk to the beach and has a fantastic bakery 3 minute walk up the hill. The on site pool menu is good and not expensive, supermarket is 2 minutes from the pool. The negatives, guy on reception is a really miserable individual who avoids helping with any enquiries or difficulties at all costs so if you have issues avoid him, all he really says is no with a frown that Victor Meldrew would be proud of. Some rooms have great views but some overlook dumped cars, storage containers waste ground and water tanks. You guessed it we got that room (319) lol, asked to move rooms as the brochure said our room would have see and pool views,. You guessed it, reception man said no. Jet2 got involved and were fantastic at getting our promised room the following morning. The hotel is a 2 star really and needs a fair bit of work but we used it as a Base so coped. Big drama for us was our room had 2 air conditioning units and they were €100 each, the units are so old that after 9 hrs of being on full blast our room dropped from 34 degrees to 30 degrees so useless, and yes all windows and doors were closed the whole time. Having effective air conditioning is essential for many people when its July and August and 41 degrees outside. Would i go back, probably not.
