We had a wonderful stay in Blue Sky Hotel. We were met on arrival by the manager, Michael, who was more than helpful, so friendly and really couldn’t have done enough for us. The room was very clean, fresh and very spacious, the bathroom was clean bright and the water so warm, clean towels everyday. Each morning during our stay we had both breakfast and evening meal. The quality of the food and the service was breather than I’m used to and nothing was a problem with all dietary requirements catered for. We have a good few hours to relax each day at the outside pool area. The loungers are comfortable and plenty available. I really can’t recommend the a blue Sky hotel enough with its location to the old town. Direct access to the beach and everything you’d need in short walking distance. Thank you for a wonderful stay

“The perfect location”

An absolutely lovely week in Rhodes. The hotel was in the perfect location, with the stunning old town only being a short walk away. We took three excursions to: Symi, Turkey and Lindos - I recommend all three. The coaches picked us up from outside the hotel. The breakfast buffet was decent and plentiful. We had dinner here twice and it was delicious and I loved that they had Greek options. The loungers and pool were always busy but that wasn’t too much of a concern as there was a beach a few metres away. I recommend booking a room with a sea view: it was stunning and the sunsets were phenomenal. Other than the shower leaking, I totally recommend staying here.

“Comfortable hotel; convenient location.”

We are just back from travelling to this hotel as a couple using a room for two, Half Board in June 2026, 7 nights with Jet2. The location is great. There are bus stops and a Taxi Ramp just outside. A single Taxi to the Harbour is about €7 for two people. Across the road are 2 small supermarkets and a great place for cheap food: Pita Gyros. Pita Gyros sells gyros for less than €4 each. A can of Alpha Beer in the supermarket is less than €1.50. Bottled water is very cheap also. You are just around the corner from bars and restaurants, although. you do need a broad mind for some of the venues offering adult services! You can walk to the Old Town in 30 mins. From an accessibility point of view, the hotel was good, there was a walk in shower, with just a small lip up, but the beds are very low to the ground. We did see a lady with a compact mobility scooter fit into the lift but a larger scooter might not have fitted. There is shower gel and hand soap in the bathroom. The buffet-style food was fine with lots of healthy options. We really enjoyed the local food, some British-style food was also available. The Restaurant and staff looked impeccably clean. There was plenty of food available for the price we paid. Lots of salads. Some reviews have said the food was cold, in our experience the food was hot. The free WiFi was perfectly adequate for us and it worked on all our devices. I don’t know how fast it would be for gaming but it was very fast for uploading photos to social media and for YouTube/Netflix. The pool area was clean. The pool is lightly heated. The sunbeds were often all taken earlier in the day and, once damp, tended to stay damp. We preferred swimming in the sea over the road. The beach is made of pebbles. The free air conditioning in the bedroom was great. The lobby downstairs gets quite warm if you are sitting there for a long period, perhaps if you are waiting for your bus to the airport. The cleaning staff did a great job and were trustworthy. Very clean throughout the hotel. Room cleaned on request. Reception were helpful. They helped us get a late check out, for a fee, €20 to stay until 2pm. The safe in the bedroom needed a €20 deposit and was very large. Great to be given a key rather than messing about with codes. The fridge was good for chilling milk and water but there is no icebox. Bring your own washing up liquid, tea towel and sponge/cloth. There is no clothes line or rack on the balcony. Bring your own string and clothes pegs, it’s windy! We had a view over the rear of the hotel, which was fine for us. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The Bar and Reception staff were friendly and helpful. You will need to pay Tourist Tax on arrival. We paid €70 for 7 nights. A very quiet hotel with no children. You’re not far from a street with bars and restaurants but we couldn’t hear them from our room, even with the balcony door open. Enjoyed a quiet one-hour trip on the Queen Christine from Mandraki Harbour. The cost was about €17 each. You can hike up to the Acropolis in 30 mins from the hotel, too. There’s no entrance fee. Also enjoyed walking all the way around the Moat of the Palace, that takes about 45 minutes, again no charge. Bear in mind a couple of local things: when crossing roads at Zebra Crossings, it is not the custom of all drivers to give way to pedestrians. If a taxi pulls up and you are requesting a short journey and someone else wants a long journey, the taxi driver may decide to take the long journey and call you another taxi. Check you are charged correctly in the local supermarket on the other side of the road. The price on the item did not match the price charged a couple of times. The Shop below the hotel was honest in this respect. If you are a tea drinker you are going to want to bring your own tea bags, local cafes and restaurants aren't big on tea. Fresh bread can be hard to come by. We would both recommend this Hotel. Overall a fabulous holiday for the price we paid.
