Just returned from staying at the Eden Roc resort. Overall a great week away with friends, there was a group of 4 of us in our mid 20’s. Would definitely recommend. Entertainment - perfect hotel evening entertainment for adults , singers each night from 9:30pm - 11pm where everyone gets up dancing. During the day they do water polo, water aerobics. You’ve also got the water sports on the beach, we done the sofa which was €20pp. Food - The main buffet was pretty standard for an all inclusive, we all found something to eat each night which was tasty. But the À la carte restaurants were the best we’d been to at an all inclusive. We ate at the Peruvian and the Asian - both were 10/10 meals. Book them on the day you arrive to ensure you get into as many as you want. Various options for lunch which we all thought was a positive. Facilities - The newly renovated pool was excellent, lots of sun beds (no sunbed wars!). All the bars and restaurants also look very modern and nicely decorated. The only thing that could do with some love is the rooms, I’m assuming they’re next on the hotels list. Nothing majorly wrong with them, they could just do with modernising, the bathrooms look great though. Staff - very welcoming and helpful. Traveled as a group of 4, emailed prior to arriving and asked for our rooms to be neat each other - on arrival they managed to put our rooms opposite each other. Location - only 25 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the old town. If you’re looking to go out for dinner a couple nights, we went to Ronda and also Nomad both in the old town. Would definitely recommend both. Also Fuego bar in the old town is an amazing outside nightclub/bar. We also went to Kalethia Springs for a couple hours, it was nice but I’d say they definitely want money off you for everything! And we done the symi island & St George’s bay speed boat tour, I’d 100% recommend.

We recently stayed at Eden Roc Resort in Kallithea for 10 nights, and overall we had a very enjoyable holiday. The positives first: the food quality and variety were excellent throughout our stay. There was always plenty of choice, and the standard was generally very good. The standout restaurants were the fish restaurant on the beach at lunch time, the Peruvian (Miraflores) restaurant, the Meze restaurant, Mediterranean restaurant and Arun Asia. The buffet was also to a very high standard with plenty of choice and really delicious options, any nights where we couldn’t get into the a la carte restaurants, we were more than happy to go to the buffet. Many members of staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, especially some of the managers, who always seemed willing to assist and make guests feel welcome. We also enjoyed the Wine & Champagne Bar, and the server there was excellent. The cocktails at the Bar Principal and the beach bar were generally the best on the resort, with the Espresso Martini from the Bar Principal being particularly good. That said, there were several areas where we felt the hotel fell short of what you would expect from a 5-star property. The biggest disappointment was the entertainment. It didn’t quite live up to the praise we had read online. Out of the 10 nights, only around 3 evenings stood out as genuinely good, some performers were excellent and very talented. Others seemed like a joke act and not put together or engaging. Also the entertainment was very short, starting at 9:15pm and ending at around 10:45pm. There should have/could have been a warm up act or some additional games/activities to excite the crowd. After the entertainment finished, there was very little atmosphere despite many guests still wanting to socialise and enjoy a drink. Music continued through the speakers, but it often felt as though someone had simply connected a phone and played Spotify playlists, complete with frequent adverts, which unfortunately made the experience feel rather cheap. Also during the day there were only one or two competitions happening around the pool, like aerobics or water polo, also no music being played on speakers, you could just about hear the music being played from the bar. For the room, instead of a proper double bed, it was simply two single beds pushed together. Considering the price we paid, this was not what we expected. The TV was also not working properly throughout our entire stay. There were no channels available at all, which meant we couldn’t even watch World Cup matches. In the hotels defence we didn’t raise this issue as we only wanted to watch the TV for the match and it was very late so we went to bed instead. I will say that the room was exceptionally clean with the rooms being cleaned daily and towels being replaced too. The Wine & Champagne Bar was enjoyable, but it was strange to have the only server also glass collecting, and so often a queue would form whilst he was collecting glasses from the lobby area. This wasn’t the barman’s fault, his service was exceptional and very professional. Unfortunately although there were 3 champagnes to chose from on the menu, only one champagne option (the dry one) was available for all 10 nights of our stay. While many staff members were excellent, some of the younger employees appeared to need more training. Not all of them, but a few lacked the level of service and attention you would normally expect from a 5-star hotel. There were also a few smaller details that stood out. At the Cone Restaurant, my partner ordered a Greek omelette that was advertised as containing sliced potatoes, but it appeared to contain chips instead which was substandard. Some cocktails served outside the Main Bar also seemed to rely heavily on syrup, making them overly sweet. Despite these criticisms, we genuinely enjoyed our holiday. The resort has many strengths, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. While we personally wouldn’t rush back in the near future, we would still recommend Eden Roc Resort to friends and family and would probably return again if looking for a place to relax and eat well. Overall, we would rate it closer to a 4-star hotel than a true 5-star experience.
