Our stay at the hotel was truly exceptional and fully worthy of a five-star hotel. The facilities are excellent, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, while the services and amenities provide a truly luxurious holiday experience. What really made the difference, however, was the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, professional, and always willing to help with genuine care and a smile. A special mention goes to Giannis at reception, whose outstanding service, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. He was always courteous, efficient, and ready to assist with any request, ensuring that everything ran smoothly from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay. A special mention goes to Nektarios from the mini bar, who was always kind, attentive, and ready to take care of every detail with professionalism and a positive attitude. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the Lopia Team—Mary, Fotis, and Dimitra. Their enthusiasm, professionalism, and warm hospitality played a major role in making our vacation even more enjoyable and memorable. They were always available to assist us and created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at home throughout our stay. Congratulations to the entire team of the hotel for providing such an outstanding level of hospitality. We would gladly choose this hotel again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious stay, exceptional service, and a team of people who truly care about their guests.

“Relaxing stay”

Just returned home today from an 8 night stay at the Ella Helea with my husband and already have the holiday blues. We had a wonderful stay and can't praise the staff enough for all of their hard work and how welcoming they made our visit. The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was very comfortable and spacious enough for us ( not that we spent much time in there, literally just to shower and sleep) There was an excellent choice of food throughout the daytime and the evening which was always cooked and presented to a high standard. The street food hub was an excellent addition as were the visits to the Al a carte restaurants on site. The Greek restaurant was our favourite one. The beach was beautiful with plenty of sunlongers and easily accessible. We took the bus from right outside the hotel into Rhodes Old Town which was super easy and only cost €2.50 each. My one and only suggestion to the hotel would be the timing of when the towel man removes towels from reserved sunlongers around the pool, although I believe it is wrong for people to put their towels down and disappear for hours to the beach etc, I do think removing towels at 9am (which is when they come round to do this) is a bizarre time. This is because it was the hight of breakfast time in the main restaurant and likely where most families had popped off to. It wasn't an issue for us but many families would put their towels and inflatables down so they could go and grab a quick breakfast only to return 20 minutes later or so to find their belongings had all been removed. We felt this was a little unfair to them and maybe the time should be changed to 10:30/11 to give families a chance to eat. The resort is pretty big so I understand why families would bring their stuff to the pool area on their way to the restaurant so they dont have to make multiple trips back to the room after they have eaten their breakfast. All in all, though, the hotel is fabulous and I would most definitely return. Its very much a family resort but definitely works for couples too as there is something for all ages.

We stayed at Ella Helea 30th June - 08th July 2026. The hotel itself was very nice and aesthetic, the food was really good, the rooms were clean and staff were very friendly. However, if you are like us and are a couple looking for relaxation then I wouldn't recommend this hotel. We went down to the main pool on the first day and immediately noticed that it was extremely busy, there were kids everywhere, it was very noisy and neither of us could relax. We had purposely tried to book before school holidays had started however this seemed to have made no difference. Breakfast was also extremely busy, and this could just be us, but we found people to be extremely rude. It feels like everyone is out for themselves and it is not relaxing first thing in the morning. The hotel advertises 6 pools however this is misleading - there is 1 large main pool which is very busy, then 4 pools all connected which was also very busy and is quite crammed. We were hoping this area might be quiet however as some of these pools are shallower, a lot of families liked having their kids in those pools. Ironically, the quietest pool is the 'kids' pool which hardly anyone used as it is tiny. The restaurant's were good however you needed to book as soon as you got there using the app. We found that some were already fully booked especially if you want to eat earlier. The strange thing was when we were in the restaurants there seemed to be plenty of empty tables. Overall, for families or groups of people/friends, this hotel is probably spot on for you. There is plenty to keep kids entertained like a waterpark and there are even padel and tennis courts on-site which is brilliant. There is a private beach which was very good - we spent most of our days here as it was a little less noisy. and there are plenty of water-sports options. If you want a quiet, relaxing break then I would probably look somewhere else.
