We were met with a lovely welcome from George. Who showed us to our room. In the morning for breakfast, Gretta was on hand to show us what was on offer for breakfast. Gretta was so friendly and always on hand if we needed anything during the day. The bar around the pool was managed by Vivien who again was so helpful and friendly. Agrilia is a lovely hotel, clean, friendly and just put of the way of the busy strip in Laganas but handy enough to eat out

“A lovely 10 day relaxing holiday.”

The hotel is approx 30 minute walk from the main strip and 20 minutes to Kalimacki Road where there is a good selection of restaurants. The hotel is approx 30 minute walk from the main strip and 20 minutes to Kalimacki Road where there is a good selection of restaurants. It is in a very peaceful location with virtually no traffic noise. The Hotel rooms , breakast and pool area are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Being a small hotel you get to know the staff on a first name basis ie Greta - breakfast, Vivienne - pool bar - vangellis - reception and George the owner who all go out of there way to make your stay as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible. At reception the Hotel can order you a taxi hire car etc. Being a small hotel you get to know the other guests and you never feel crowded or rushed. The pool area and bar has a very relaxing atmosphere and never felt crowded. If you are looking for a guaranteed relaxing peaceful holiday then Incan definitely recommend the Agrilia Hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The location was great, making it easy to explore the island and enjoy our vacation. What truly made this hotel stand out, however, was the staff. They are without a doubt the best part of the entire experience. Every single person was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with a genuine smile. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and their friendliness made a huge difference throughout our stay. Thank you to the entire team for your amazing hospitality. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back in the future!

The hotel itself is absolutely lovely. I can see why the reviews are so positive. The staff are really nice, the hotel is very clean and looked after. I will create a list of pros and cons to help anybody wishing to book the Agrilia hotel based on our recent experience. Pros: Hidden gem, very quiet and far enough away from the s**thole that is Laganas. Very clean, rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels. Comfortable beds. Lovely breakfast, plenty to suit everybody's tastes. Friendly staff. (Vivienne behind the bar was lovely, cleaning staff also very friendly). The guys who ran the front desk were also very nice, they actually appeared to care about the safety of their guests arriving at the hotel after the gates closed at 10pm. Relaxing pool area along with the most comfortable sunbeds we have ever sunbathed upon. Cons: Due to this review based solely on the hotel I can't blame the hotel in any way around it's location. Although Laganas itself was utterly awful!!! As stated above, the hotel is far enough away from Laganas to make this an issue. Not enough sunbeds. Although the hotel is small there were 3 or 4 times we couldn't get a sunbed. We did however hang around and the guests were pleasant enough to remove their towels to allow other guests to use the sunbeds once they left for lunch etc.. Not very comfortable seats around the bar area. Although the bar area is lovely a few cushions on the high seats would have probably made us stay a little longer. Or perhaps call in for a nightcap. Very confusing 'happy hour'. For example the beers were 5.5 euros per pint (or 500ml) all day, other than between 4-5pm where even though a sign at the bar stated it was half price, what transpired was you paid for a half which was 4.5 euros for a pint. Very odd and confusing. The main question, would we go back??? Yes. Simply because the hotel was so nice and perhaps a little more from what you naturally expect from Greece. We couldn't say we wouldn't go back because of the location as this would not be fair on the hotel. Zakynthos has so much to offer. The island is absolutely beautiful should you care to hire a vehicle as we did. Kalamaki, banana beach, Zante town and Argassi are all lovely areas to visit. The boat trips on offer around the caves are also well worth trying out.
