I have just spent a lovely 7 days at this Independently run hotel. You can choose room only or Bed and Breakfast. I would recommend the latter there is plenty of choice The rooms have a beautifully equipped kitchenette. But don’t miss the opportunity to have a pre booked Dinner. The food is amazing and as you would expect from a French Restaurant My thanks go to Zena. Roman, Margo and Sandrine a lovely calm and welcoming team who befit the personal style of resort Also to Lionel their amazing Taxi Driver who added so much to the memory of my trip

“Great stay, views and food”

We had the pleasure to spend six days here. The location is both beautiful and convenient, steps away from the stunning Grande Anse beach. The resort’s houses are laid over a somewhat steep hill siding the rainforest, assuring great views from most rooms and with lovely and well kept gardens. The pool and restaurant area is the core of the resort, and -just like the whole structure- have the classic elegance you want to find on a tropical island. We stayed most days in a “suite vue mer” which had the best view, good space both in room and bathroom, and an outside garden with plunge pool and an equipped kitchen / bar area. Besides the very appealing breakfasts, we also had two dinners at the local Papillon restaurant which compared well with the better ones we had outside. Kind and attentive service throughout. Overall cannot fault the HGA: a great comfortable stay is assured.

“Pleasant hotel on the outskirts of Deshaies.”

The view from our room was worth the climb. Our accommodation was of a good standard, well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was OK but you need to go early to get the full selection. My room was lovely and the staff was very helpful. Here are two issues that management could address and make the hotel even better (please don't take it personally): 1. During my five-day stay, the tiny trash can was not emptied once. Even if I'm on the cheapest rate, please offer some way for me to get rid of the trash, especially the loads of empty water bottles. 2. Wi-fi. OMG. I have never in my life had so much difficulty connecting to the wi-fi and the internet. It requires you to sign up and confirm you e-mail address and then MAYBE you get a spot (sometimes with a countdown of several minutes) for connecting to the internet. This is complicated by the fact that the wi-fi in the restaurant is different from the room wi-fi. Oh, and did I mention that you need to re-validate your e-mail address every day? My inbox has been spammed with these messages. Just give us a wi-fi password and get rid of "Validation Click & Surf"!
