We had a large group here and had a wonderful time. It was perfect for our needs as we spent little time in our rooms and most of the time in the pools and exploring the island. We choose this place for the view. The guest infinity pool is huge compared to most and has amazing views. We spent much of our time at the hotel poolside. The rooms are nothing to write home about, but that’s why this place is cheap. The shower had barely any pressure and the safe didn’t work. However the air conditioning was great and I will always remember the view! We spent very little time in the room anyway. Our room was at the top, so we basically packed for the day and didn’t make too many return trips up the steps. The staff at Coconuts were very friendly and happy to serve food, drinks, get towels, ...etc. it is a shame this place has been let go by the owners who apparently live overseas. Overall, people staying at Coconuts should compare what they are paying to the other resorts in the area. Coconuts is cheap for a reason. You’re paying for a view. So if you want a ten star view from your room and the pool (of the bay and Mt. Agung) with a one-and-a-half star room and decent, cheap food and drinks that don’t have the 21% tax added like the other resorts, this is the place. If you do want a five star room with a view of pedistrians walking by, a tiny plunge pool and speakers blaring, plus a 21% tax on all your food and drink, then go somewhere else! Would I recommend Coconuts to honeymooners wanting Western convenience? No. Would I recommend Coconuts to travellers who want a cheap room with a sweet view and launching place for daily excursions (scooters, snorkelling, surfing....etc.)? Definitely!!!!
