I stayed here for 18 nights in a room with aricon. My room was very large, as was the bathroom and the aircon worked well. It is situated about 30m from the beach and my room had a patio outside with sofa and table. What i liked best about the place were the staff, they were all very friendly but not at all pushy. I was informed that they did breakfast, that they could rent me a moped or book me trips but these were never pushed on me, which i really appreciated as i like to spread my tourist dollar around the local economy. When you do need anything the staff are very helpful . The area is a fabulous place to stay if you want a quiet location away from the main tourist strip of Lovina. The WiFi is consistently good too. I would highly recommend staying for 2 or 3 days and taking a trip to see the dolphins with one of the locals as this is so much better than the organised tourist trips, where loads of boats chase the dolphins all at the same time (early in the morning) . But going with a local you can have the whole sea to yourself, I went one morning after the tourists had all left, it was just me and Gedein his boat ( 4D forever) and we spent ages watching hundreds of dolphins swimming around and under the boat, jumping and even doing acrobatics it was by far the best dolphin experience i have ever had. Just ask somebody for Gede or call him on 082144021673, I promise you won't regret it. The massage room attached is basic but the woman has 30 years experience and her massages ( i had many) were fabulous. I highly recommend a visit to her if you are in the area. the price is discounted if you are staying at Puri Mandhara. TOP TIP you need to hand in your key and ask for your room to be cleaned, otherwise it doesn't happen.

“Will be back!”

I've stayed here for a week. Really nice and quiet location near the beach (50 meter). Friendly staff. Nice room. Good price. They have a small massage salon where they give the best massage I ever had!

Some aspects were good others not so good. The staff are great and it is close to the beach. Price was just 125,000 per night - less than £7. Bed was comfy and the sheets clean enough. But there was peeling paint on almost every wall. The bath was foul - see the photos. Black gunge in it and only cold water. Wifi signal in room is on/off. There was no dustbin in the room or bathroom. There were various bits of left over soap and sachets of opened shampoo!! Yuck. The toilet smelled. I had a chicken curry here for dinner which was excellent and very cheap. The beer here is only 32,000 Rp for a large Bintang. That is cheap. I was looking forward to breakfast this morning and ordered Cheese Jaffle. This is like a toastie. On the image on the menu there were two but when it arrived there was only one and it had almost no cheese in it. Probably just one of those square bits of plastic cheese. Quite disappointing. No garnish, nothing else with it. I was still hungry after breakfast. I would recommend the scrambled eggs - someone else had those.
