I had a 4 days and 3 nights stay at The Oasis Retreat Seminyak on February 2018 with my family of 2 kids. I requested for early check in as i was pretty anxious to check in early though my flight will reached about 10am. The management gladly approved it by e-mail as well. Upon arriving at 12pm, there was 2 staffs that attended to me and they showed me around the villa with well spoken english and very friendly attitude. We were immediately served chilled welcome drinks and fruits to quench our thirst as well. Excellent! They have a driver to pick u and send you from and to the airport which is a plus point. The location is fantastic with streets nearby for some walking shopping and foods eatery as well. Not more than 6 mins walk from The Oasis to the main street and yet it is not noisy from the streets outside. The amenities and cleanliness of everything inside the Villa was in tip top condition including the pool as well. There are cable shows provided in all rooms and the pictures are quite clear. I requested for the villa with a special view (which is villa 3) as it was my eldest son birthday month and i promised to bring him for holiday and "boom", the management throw in a complimentary birthday cake for him on! (sorry, did not take any photo of that as the youngest son dip the cake before i could take any photo) However, on the first night at the second floor, the air con was not so cold as compared to the first floor and i feedback to them, and well they did something to the second floor room air con and all was good then. That is first class service! In general, the services are top class comparable with 5 stars hotel and the stay at villa is worth more than every cent we pay for. We will come again soon! P/S: Some lights are out though it is not a big concern and maybe the management can consider to put a central light fittings on top of that dining table so that sometimes if we dine in, we could have a brighter atmosphere for those of us that are used to a bright eating environment :)

“Great villa with awesome service”

Stayed as a 2 bedroom villa in January and loved the villa. Villas are still quite new and present really well. Located on the border of Legian and Seminyak close to great restaurants, shopping, trusted money changer and taxis to get you around. A short walk to Bintang supermarket and the beach, you really are in the middle of everything just off of Jalan Seminyak. The service from the villa staff was awesome. Bohdi, Indra, Putu, Este always happy to help with anything you require. We would certainly look to book here again.

“Good but a few annoyances...”

Our family of three stayed four nights in July. The place has many positives: it is clean, spacious, the staff are friendly and very helpful. One annoyance on arrival is that I was asked to pay for all nights on arrival, non-refundable, with a fee for using a credit card. Wish I'd known this before arrival - I'm always wary of paying up front because if you don't like the location or the place you can be stuck. And I was worried the first night as there was a good bit of noise from a couple near by clubs until midnight or so. and while we were there one of the windows lacked a screen - letting in some mosquitoes. Still it turned out fine and it was nice to have the space and kitchen and to be in a neighborhood where we could walk to things in the evening. Another small complaint is that our used towels would disappear but not reappear in the same number or combination. One day we had to ask for a beach towel and twice we had to ask for wash cloths. Not a big deal.

We booked the three bedroom villa with the outside day bed and the nice lounge and dining suite and it was as it looked. We paid around $300 AUD per night for three of us and when we arrived the place looked fantastic. We didnt have the welcome fruit and juice but they looked nice. The rooms were a good size and the pool was great albeit shaded through much of the day. The outside double day-bed had marks on it so we put a sheet on the bed for the entire stay. The bathrooms were a good size and the place really is a home away from home. Of all the staff, Indra was tops and was always friendly and helpful. Now, the reason why the three is not a four? There was a phone provided so we could contact staff but the battery was low with no charger. I told them about it and they said they would charge it on their next visit. It stayed flat the entire time we were there. At one stage the water cooler/heater was simply left unplugged leaving us to wonder what was wrong with it - we worked it out eventually. The remotes in every room for TV etc were flat. The DVD in the lounge was not connected and when you are on holidays you dont want to waste half an hour trying to sort it out. I had to scrounge batteries to make one of the three sets work. The shower pressure is not good as others have mentioned. The shower head spits water in every direction including the floor. The light above the sink in the upstairs master bathroom never worked. The blinds in the bathrooms wouldn't open because of rust.The bathroom handle in the same room was broken so we never really closed the door. The toilet under the stairs on the first floor was not connected properly to the floor so it used to rock - which became an issue when I fell ill with food poisoning. The food delivered from a nearby restaurant was not great. At night the nearby nightclubs were loud, making it hard to sleep upstairs but slightly better downstairs. There is a local laneway behind the pool and on one occasion I could hear people vomiting early in the morning. A puppy barked constantly from early in the morning. You get the picture. Look, I would not normally mention all this because most of the issues are small. But when you are paying $300 a night you expect more.
