My friend and I stayed in the Angelina Residence for 5 days and have only good things to say about it. The check in was easy and quick (although it is a few minutes away from the residence) and the staff at the check in couldn't be more helpful. Our room was fabulous - a spacious studio, spotlessly clean with everything you could want. The kitchen had a full size fridge, a freezer and oven and a great range of utensils. There is ample wardrobe space, a safe, and a good size bathroom with a hairdryer. The balcony was large with a table and chairs. In addition to the double bed we also used the chair bed as we didn't want to share a bed, and it was made up with sheets etc as we requested, at no extra charge. It is worth noting that it was a really comfortable chair bed, with a proper mattress etc. We were lucky that we had fantastic weather and were able to use the pool which has ample sunbeds with shades. The pool was clean, not unduly cold, and despite us being there over half term week, it was never crowded. The Angelina Residence is 2 minutes away from the sea front and a stone's throw from various shops and bars. It is however one street back from the sea, so the view is predominantly of other buildings (which didn't bother us at all). It is a very quiet area - after midnight not a sound was to be heard, so perfect for a good night's sleep! There are local buses at the end of the road and also ferries to other towns - all very easy to use and very cheap. We found the locals all very friendly and helpful and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Angelina Residence to anyone!

“Cheap but hidden extras and not so cheerful”

The pictures on the website we booked were not quite true to life, the pool is very shaded and not that clean. The staff at the hotel were standard not overly friendly, little response to messages prior. The beach staff which you pay additionally to use were not friendly, our first day there was a bit of wind which meant staff would not allow umbrellas up even though they charged for them and every other beach area had them up, second day part way through the staff part way though the day wanted all umbrellas down. Playing catch with a ball in the water was also apparently unsafe and not allowed. The room was decent size and as advertised only note towel change is once every 7 days, for extra is a charge. Location is easy walk to everything and roof top bar was great for a evening drink
