Location very good Atmosphere good you can choose from a quiet pool to a noisy one . Our room was spacious, kept clean all week and had a great view, room 11209 . The staff at this hotel are stupendous always happy to help.and always smiling . Too many to mention but Salah our cleaner was fantastic the 2 Mohammads at the island bar and Omar who kept us hydrated and Ezzat who kept us fed were brilliant . Breakfast omelettes cooked by Ahmed were fabulous, The a la carte resteraunts were good and the main resteraunt was good if not a little busy . We did find ourselves as a British couple a little under represented as there were mainly Russians there and imo very rude and entitled peeps but if you look past this the hotel is very good . Just a suggestion the island pool bar could really do with opening into the evening maybe till about 10 or 11pm so that those who are at the bottom of the property wouldn't have to catch the hotel bus service to get to the top for an evening's drink 😁. Overall it's very good very well maintained and dedicated to making your stay as relaxing or busy as you want .

Beautiful hotel on street level in Positano! Rooms are big and updated. Balcony not huge but had a sea view. It was nice we were able to access it at street level as you had the option to walk down the road to the town and beach rather than take the stairs, which you could also do. There is an elevator on the street which is convent for drop up and pick up by a driver. They also offer laundry service which was great as this was our second stay. The staff members were incredible, especially the front desk, breakfast and bar staff. The young man who was in charge of the wine was very knowledgeable. The only complaint was the restaurant meal we had for dinner on our first night. The waitress was extremely aggressive and we felt she trying to push certain items on us. The food there was just OK. The breakfast however was amazing. Omelets made to order, meats and cheeses, pastries, fresh fruit and much much more. And of course the wonderful cappicinos and fresh squeezed OJ. I would highly recommend this hotel for your next trip to Positano!

Where do I even begin? This place is a dream. The moment we walked onto the terrace, the view took our breath away—it's the iconic, classic Positano postcard scene, and it's 10 times better in person. I swear I spent hours just watching the boats go by! But the real heart of this hotel is the incredible team. They are GENUINE in their hospitality. I felt welcomed, not just as a guest, but as family. A massive shout-out to (mention a staff role, e.g., the concierge) who literally went out of his way to book us a last-minute boat tour and printed custom hiking maps. They truly want you to have the best vacation possible. And the food... oh my goodness, the food! Every dinner was genuinely incredible, and the breakfast spread every morning was divine. Do NOT skip the cooking class! This was easily the highlight of our trip. We spent the afternoon with our chef (who was so patient!) learning the secrets to making authentic pasta, stuffed ravioli, and perfect gnocchi. It felt relaxed and hands-on—he let us handle the dough and explained the why behind every step. The best part? Eating our incredible creations on the cliffside terrace as the sun was setting. It was the most magical, movie-like dining experience I’ve ever had. If you are thinking about booking, stop thinking and just do it. Highly, highly recommended!! I can’t wait to go back.

We stayed at Hotel Montemare in Positano for two nights in September as part of a 13-night vacation, and it was the highlight of our entire trip. The hotel itself is fantastic—modern, immaculately clean, and equipped with all the amenities one could want, including a fitness room, spa, pool, hot tubs, and breathtaking views. The location is superb, just a 5-10 minute walk from the Positano city center and all the main streets you would want to explore. Additionally, there is a direct path from the hotel down to the beach, which requires traversing a few hundred steps, as is to be expected in Positano. Where this hotel truly went above and beyond was with its staff. Every team member we encountered during our stay was incredible. They consistently went out of their way to elevate our experience through thoughtful details, including welcome drinks, meticulous attention to detail, goodnight gifts, and more. If I could give this hotel more than five stars, I would. I recommend that anyone planning a stay in Positano strongly consider Hotel Montemare.
