“Great location, true hospitality and service, and amazing view for our family of 4”

Our family of 4 had an amazing stay at the hotel and absolutely loved the location, staff, views, and room. We were a family of 4 with a 14 year old son and 11 year old daughter, and stayed for 5 nights in mid-June. We booked a Superior Quad room with partial sea view which was great for the family of four. It was hard to get photos/info online of what the "quad" room was going to be like, but I think it's their standard superior room with 2 twin rollaways. See the photo/video with the review. There was a fridge and kettle, armrouir for hanging clothes, and some cabinet space. The balcony was huge with amazing views. There was a table with 2 chairs, plus two sun loungers. We enjoyed sitting out each morning for coffee. The "partial" ocean view was really an amazing view of the ocean and Positano down the coast. The hotel has 4 floors (pool on the top) and we were on level 2. There's a building in front of the hotel that partially obstructed the view from our balcony, but we had 75% full ocean view. The service at the hotel was exceptional. From the time we checked in until we left, we saw many of the same people and they always greeted us. Rooms were made up during the day and someone would come check on us in the evening if we needed towels or anything else. One of our suitcases didn't make it from Amsterdam to Naples, so when we arrived we gave the hotel our lost luggage info. They called the next day to follow up and check on the status with the Naples Airport. They told me it would probably take 2 days to get to Praiano, but they had the suitcase for me the next day. We had tours booked most of our trip, but on the 1 day we had open the hotel front desk went out of their way to help get us a driver at the best price to go down the coast. We emailed ahead of time and they helped us book lunch reservations while we were on the island of Capri. The views from breakfast are amazing, and same from the rooftop pool and cafe. The food and drink menu at the pool are very good: it's a strong list of cocktails and wine along with substantial food options. You can have snacks there or a full meal. You just order at the bar and they'll bring your food and drinks to you. We weren't sure if the pool was going to be a big plus or not, but we were so happy to have it. Whatever you do while on the Amalfi coast, you will be walking up and down stairs. Getting back to the hotel at the end of the day and having a pool to get in and have a drink was amazing. The pool was never too crowded, usually 8-12 people. We ate at the hotel restaurant on our second night and we liked it a lot. The views are amazing and food was very good. In addition to the hotel restaurants, we loved the options in Praiano. The hotel is walking distance to 4-5 very good and reasonably priced restaurants. We did km0 our first night and also loved our dinner at che bonta. Below the hotel is a path to the beach, and along that is a very very good cocktail bar called Cafe Mirante. Their bartenders are true mixoligists crafting interesting recipes using local ingredients that mimic the classics. They are executed perfectly and have some fun accompaniments. We went to Piano Nel Cielo one night (left the kids at the hotel) and we really enjoyed it. It was a 10 minute walk from the hotel. One of the days we booked chairs at La Gavitela Beach Club. The hotel has 3 levels on the elevator, but there's really a 4th level on the bottom that exits out to the path to the beach, which saves a few hundred yards of walking the zig zag past the church. Our kids said their favorite part of the trip was the beach (cement/rocks) at the bottom of the hotel. Lunch was great there. We were dreading the walk back up, but it was not as bad as we expected... maybe because we were used to the much longer and steeper steps in Positano. We really liked the hotel's location: it was 20 minutes from Positano by taxi, had many good restaurants within walking distance, and had a great beach club 400 steps below. We didn't make use of the bus, which stops right in front of the hotel, just because it was always so crowded and crazy at the stops. We considered staying in Positano to be more central, but we are so glad we chose the Tramonto d'Oro and Praiano.

Excellent experience at Hotel Tramonto D'oro! The service at this hotel was terrific. All the staff were polite, very helpful and knowledgeable. The daily breakfast buffet was delicious, with many options of healthy food to begin our day. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner on the patio with sunset views our first night, with Giuseppe recommending the perfect wine pairing for our meal. The hotel and rooms are charming, with beautiful tiles throughout. The balcony views are also incredible - best place to watch the sunset. Highly recommend this family-run hotel!

We had an amazing experience at Hotel Tramonto d’Oro in Praiano. The room had fantastic views that we couldn’t get enough of, and the location was perfect, walking distance to a bunch of great restaurants. We actually tried the hotel restaurant too and it did not disappoint. The service and front desk staff were so polite and friendly the whole time. Buffet breakfast was great, and having their cappuccino with that ocean view honestly brought me to happy tears, it was that beautiful. The hotel also helped us book transportation to Positano, which we were so glad we didn’t end up staying in since it was way more crowded than we expected. My boyfriend and I were genuinely sad to leave. Praiano and this hotel completely won us over and we can’t wait to come back someday.

We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Tramonto D'Oro. We loved how convenient it was located on the main road. Check-in was smooth and we enjoyed our rooms which were 2 "superior rooms with terrance and sea view." I loved the decor of the rooms. The views from our terrace were beautiful and it was awesome to see a lemon tree off to the right of our room. The roof top pool was amazing. My boys loved swimming there. Dinner at their hotel was amazing as well. The best part is the customer service. The evening before check out I asked the front desk person what time does breakfast starts which was 7am. We were supposed to leave at 6:30am the following day so I figured I'd have figure out breakfast later in the day. As I headed towards the elevator, Luigi, the front desk guy came chasing after me to ask what time I was leaving the hotel. He then told me the hotel can provide us breakfast bags for take out and would have it ready at the time of departure the next morning. Amazing! I promised Luigi I'd give him and the hotel a 5 star review so here it is! This has never happened with another hotel. I was so impressed! Grazie mille, Luigi! I highly recommend this hotel and I would love to return some day!
