Hotel Capriccio

This is the second year that we have stayed at the Hotel Capriccio with the All Inclusive formula.  When we stayed here last year our choice criteria were: a family friendly hotel (since our baby was 7 months old and we had recently started weaning her); a spacious bed; mini-fridge in the room; a family atmosphere; and budget under €1000 all inclusive for 1 week in September. Hotel Capriccio met all these criteria.  Furthermore, we liked the fact that Hotel Capriccio had a bit of pine forest around it and the swimming pool among the trees and that it was a 4 star. It is a 4-star hotel with the prices a little lower than other 4-star hotels. It is clean in all its parts and has a nice welcoming reception area. Some reviews complain about the external appearance of the hotel, but to us it just seemed a typical hotel of the Riviera Romagnola! Since we had a great time last year and everyone was very nice to us, we were happy to come back here again this year. This time in June. Upon arrival they made us find the bicycles ready with the seat for the baby, and they gave us a room similar to the one last year, in fact it was a little better. It was nice to see that the staff and the owner remembered us and our little girl (who is now 16 months old). All this made us feel at home straight away! Everyone was so nice to our daughter, from Christian and Paola at the reception to Kristina (the cleaning lady) and the waiters. This was very important to us and helped us enjoy the holiday even more. Every evening they ask the guests to choose the meals for the lunch and dinner of the following day. You can choose between 4-5 first courses and 4-5 second courses. There is always a fish-based dish and a meat-based one, and other alternatives (for example, omelette, mushroom cream, etc. ). We really like this chef's cuisine. In particular, I liked the pasta dishes and my partner liked the meat dishes. Both last year and this year where possible the chef prepared salt-free dishes especially for our little girl. At lunch and dinner there is also always a buffet of salads and vegetables (fresh, grilled, au gratin, etc.), which we found very convenient. If you decide to go on a trip, you can request a packed lunch. Both last year's and this year's rooms were very clean and well kept.  The bed was large enough to fit 3 (2 adults and a child). The Hotel has an agreement with not one but 2 beach establishments. At first glance the hotel may seem a bit far from the beach compared to other hotels. But Tagliata is a small town and the walk from the hotel to the sea is short and pleasant. And in any case you can always use the hotel's bicycles to go to the beach and elsewhere. The canal port of Cesenatico is just 15 minutes away by bike and there is a nice cycle path that connects Tagliata to Cesenatico. We will definitely be back next year, too!
