We had a wonderful stay at Masseria San Domenico and would absolutely return. The property is elegant, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, offering an authentic luxury experience in Puglia. We reserved the Two-Bedroom Thalasso Suite, which was spacious, beautifully appointed, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable. The bathrooms were a good size, although I would have preferred double sinks and larger showers, which felt a bit tight. The soaking bathtubs, however, were a wonderful feature. After booking our stay, we decided to extend our trip through Europe by two additional nights. Unfortunately, our original suite had already been reserved for the final night, so we had to change rooms. It wasn’t an inconvenience at all. The hotel moved us into a One-Bedroom Suite, which still had a separate living area that worked perfectly as a sleeping space for our teenage daughter, making the transition very easy. The Masseria itself is stunning. Every detail feels luxurious, from the embroidered sheets and towels to the personalized paper napkins. It’s clear that great attention has been given to every aspect of the guest experience. Breakfast was consistently excellent, with very fresh, high-quality offerings. We especially loved the beautiful porcelain tableware, which added an elegant touch to each morning. Dinner at the hotel is definitely worth experiencing. We enjoyed the homemade pasta, veal meatballs, and lobster, and every meal was excellent. The pool is absolutely massive and beautiful. The fitness center is small but perfectly adequate for getting in a workout. The private beach club, located about a five-minute drive away, is stylish, clean, and well maintained. The hotel offers a shuttle, but we had a rental car, which made it very convenient to come and go. One day the water was calm and perfect for a swim before lunch, while another day the wind picked up and the sea became rough, so we happily spent the afternoon back at the beautiful pool. The only area where we experienced any issues was lunch service at the beach club on our first visit. There seemed to be some confusion due to a language barrier. We were told there was a salad buffet and that pasta would be ordered separately, so after enjoying the buffet we waited for someone to take our order. Eventually we flagged down a server, who took it, but nothing arrived. Another server later took our order again, yet after nearly an hour, everyone around us had been served while we were still waiting. We eventually walked to the bar to order our own drinks, and after about an hour without receiving lunch, we decided to leave. The staff apologized sincerely and explained that our original order had been lost. On our next visit, we simply ordered directly from our beach loungers using the à la carte menu, and everything went smoothly. Considering how exceptional the service had been everywhere else in the hotel, this seemed like an isolated experience. A special thank you to Marianna at the concierge desk. She was outstanding throughout our stay, assisting with dinner reservations, arranging our rental car, and coordinating our airport transportation. Having a rental car is highly recommended if you want to explore the beautiful towns and beaches throughout Puglia, and Marianna made the entire process seamless. She was professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful, making every aspect of our stay effortless. We originally considered staying at Borgo Egnazia, but we’re so glad we chose Masseria San Domenico instead. We visited Borgo Egnazia for dinner one evening and, while it’s undeniably a beautiful property, it felt much busier and had significantly more young children. Since we were traveling with our teenage daughter and were looking for a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere, Masseria San Domenico ended up being the perfect fit for our family. Overall, Masseria San Domenico exceeded our expectations. Between the beautiful accommodations, exceptional dining, attentive concierge service, and peaceful atmosphere, it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. We would gladly return
