Cesine is the best place for summer holidays with family, even without! We used to come here every August for last 3 summers, and this year was not exception! Fantastic infrastructure, wisely separated, highy professional hospitality, rooms are enormous, beautiful and clean. All team starting from receptions to cleaning ladies- 10/10!! All of them treating you as your family member, i used to travel a lot in millions of places all around the globe but this place is paradise, incomparable, unique thanks to the excellent management. Special million thanks to all team of Masseria kitchen, fantastic fantastic Alessia, amazing Rita and brilliant Anna Paola - each morning we were served as royals with best breakfast that you can imagine. Everything was super fresh, diverse choice of the good on every type of clients. Great start of the day. Great great Antonio in lunch/ dinner area - you are Top!!! Highly professional and elegant person!! Many thanks to all bar attendants for being mega helpful caring, super fast and nice. Amazing beach team: Luca, Nicola, Giuseppe , Marco, Daniele. You made our staying on the beach super comfortable and full of fine!! Many thanks to beach bar attendants- Marco Grande and Marco piccolo- uou are the best!! Animating team was very nice proposing plenty of different activities. Young and beautiful 😍 Special mega thanks to our beautiful Tamara and Francesco . The heart of Cesine🩷 Baby club ladies you are the top! Thank you For being so patient and caring, every daying doing maximum to make all kids happy and enjoyble!! Cleaning ladies- Angela and the other ladies - you are doing amazing work!! Every single day after coming back from the beach we were finding the room excellently made!! Awesomely clean and fragrant! And last but not least - Grande Direttore - Pasquale. I never saw someone so passionate about the job he makes. Each day present, and very attentive to every single client! Highly recommended! Rooms comfortable and cleaned regularly. Unaware resort not fully open. Many facilities including beach not available. Limited entertainment. Only one restaurant and bar open. Most people on tour group and away during the day. V v quiet when stayed during the day. Car definite must to see Puglia and positioned well to travel to places. Very disappointing food (quality) not representative of Puglian food bought when out each day which was excellent.

“Disappointing, remote location, variable food”

As we drove towards the place, we thought we were arriving at a barracks/camp. The architecture is a tad brutalist for the accommodation blocks. It didn’t help that much of the garden was overgrown. The place looked run down and neglected, with grass very high and weeds sprouting everywhere. Gardeners started working and killing weeds as the week progressed. It made a huge difference. Our room: We were a long way from the main facilities in the farm building. Every time we went up and down, the north wind was strong, and it’s a long walk. The bedroom was well provided, fresh and clean, with a comfortable bed, good shower facilities, and sufficient storage. The bathroom products are very good. One small area for improvement - there is no mirror near natural light, and no plug near the mirror in the hall. The small seating area outside was a bit tatty but it was handy to have a clothes airer. The hotel only provides one bottle of water for the week, but you can top up by the pool. We would have appreciated a bit more in the fridge because the bar is so far away. The room was cleaned well, each day. Re dining: We were part of a tour group, so we had to sit at long tables all week. At times, it felt like canteen dining. When other groups were in, there were long queues to get food, and at breakfast, things ran out; you wait ages for a coffee. Lunches were basic; packed lunches were the same items every day but sufficient to make a roll with meat and cheese. The first three nights, the evening main course was at best tepid, not even warm. The best food was when they did a local night, superb! The entertainment that night was also excellent. The next night the food was very poor in comparison. Most nights, there was little to do except go to the bar, which is very small if you have to sit in, and understaffed if it is busy. The staff there are very good. The snacks put out for ‘all inclusive’ were appreciated, but they do not stop others helping themselves who were not all inclusive. We were so disappointed that there was no mini-bus to anywhere. The beach was not yet open. We only found this out in the week before, and it had been one of the incentives as we didn’t want to be stuck in the hotel. We have stayed in a Masseria before; unfortunately, this one was not as good. We love Italian food but expected better at a four star resort and certainly not food that it being kept at a temperature that should not be acceptable for health and safety . We also expected the grounds to be ready for guests.

On arrival we didn’t get the twin bedroom we had ordered and after being shown similar but not twin bedrooms we were offered a twin bedded room which we accepted. By this time we arrived tired and late for dinner, which was disappointing, and we found all of this very stressful. The rest of the holiday was good for me, the bedroom had good facilities, I enjoyed the poolside, the bar with entertainment (a little too loud) the food was good but not everyone thought so. We missed having some other life within close walking distance to walk to. The excursions were good but the guides took up too much of our time giving us very little time to wander on our own. Also the coaches could not park close enough to where we were going.
