A quirky and comfortable hotel in Rimini. What a find! I stayed in the David Hockney room (see photos) and it was well equipped, nice and clean and weird. A quirky and comfortable hotel in Rimini. What a find! I stayed in the David Hockney room (see photos) and it was well equipped, nice and clean and weird. As to food I only tried breakfast but it was excellent. Teo explained the self service set up and served me cappuccino when I needed it most. It was the most varied and tastiest breakfast I’ve had so far. The hotel is nicely sited only 150m from the beach and enough art to really justify its name. I did stay here once before with my large dog who was made welcome in the restaurant by Teo so bring your furry friend.

We stayed at the hotel for 10 days in early July. The check-in process was smooth and very quick. However, I do not think keeping guests’ passports at the hotel for few hours is the right practice. I understand that this is probably done to speed up the check-in process, but we did not feel comfortable leaving our personal documents. The hotel has clearly seen better days, but this did not affect our stay. Everything worked properly, there were no technical issues or leaks. ROOM Our room was rather dark – the dark red and dark blue walls made it feel a bit heavy, and the Mick Jagger painting was a little scary for our child. However, the bed was extremely comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the sound insulation was surprisingly good. We were given a room on the fifth (top) floor with a nice sea view (partly blocked by the building in front, but this did not bother us). The balcony was an unusual solution. There were no partitions between balconies, so there was very little privacy. There was also one shared drying line running along the entire floor. Sitting on the balcony was not very comfortable because of the lack of privacy and the very high balcony walls – when sitting on a chair, you could mostly see either the sky or the balcony wall. In the bathroom there was a bathtub. The bathtub was completely watertight, with no leaks. Towels were changed every day, and the room was cleaned very well. It was vacuumed daily, which was especially appreciated after returning from the beach with sand on our body. Big thanks for cleaning lady :) FOOD We stayed on a half-board basis, with breakfast and we were visiting the dinners (but if i understood correctly we were able to choose between dinner or lunch a day before). Breakfasts were rather modest and repetitive from our family’s point of view. There was a good selection of desserts (cakes and croissants), but the main dishes were almost the same every day: bacon, omelette (one of the best hotel omelettes we have ever tasted), boiled and fried eggs, two types of italian sausages, cheeses (many of them), bread, vegetables, fruits, cereals, yoghurt and seeds. You definitely will not leave hungry, but compared with other hotels we have stayed at, the choice felt quite limited. Also, after 9 a.m., dishes were often empty and it sometimes took quite a while for food to be replenished. Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience during breakfast. Our child accidentally spilled some water and even tried to clean it with napkins, but two employees (one with long hair and other with black Tshirt and trousers) shouted at him. It was very disappointing to see such a reaction to a simple accident, when the staff could have simply taken a cloth and cleaned the floor. Dinner, however, was a completely different experience. It was not a standard buffet – every evening guests could choose from a fairly wide menu with four different courses. The food was always delicious and the service was excellent. From alcohol we were offered just wine for dinner. We would especially like to thank our waiter Pinto. He was attentive, friendly and professional, always checking whether we were ready for the next course and giving us enough time to enjoy our meal. His service was truly outstanding. Every evening we could choose an appetizer, first course, main course and dessert. Even our quite picky child always found something tasty to eat (especially the pasta dishes). Location The hotel’s location is superb. The Metromare stop is very close – only a few minutes away. This made travelling very convenient. During our stay we visited Ravenna, Bologna and San Marino, and we also explored Rimini’s old town easily. There are also other bus connections nearby. The beach is just a couple of minutes’ walk away. It is very clean, with soft sand and a very shallow sea, making it perfect for children. The waves were fantastic and provided a lot of fun (even with the red flag, swimming was still allowed). The only downside is the price. We paid €205 for two sunbeds and one umbrella for 10 days (the price depends on the location and number of days). There are practically no free beach areas nearby. Overall, we feel that Admiral Art Hotel was good value for money. It is not a modern luxury hotel, but its strengths are the excellent location, cleanliness, comfortable beds and great dinners.

“Good, worth visiting the place.”

Kind staff. Clean rooms, Sea facing balconey, but no kitchen suffs, no extra water. Less food options for Vegan diet. Mr. Daniele, Mr. Teo and Mr. Marco.
