“Perfect holiday appartment”

We stayed in this fresh and modern apartment with our teenagers. Very convenient location, 5 min to the old city centre, the port and the beach. The bathroom and kitchenette is very nice as well as the terrace on the roof . We would definitely come back again and we recommend Aurasol to our friends.

Only stayed here for one night as we were staying in Pula in the south but flew out of Alghero in the north, which is a 3.5 hour drive for an early morning flight! Booked it the night before we stayed, looking for something conveniently located to wander around the old town, with free parking for the Smart Car and was cheap. We paid 60 euro for a one bed apartment. Breakfast is provided but only with a selection of wrapped cakes/croissants, sliced bread, jams, tea, coffee, milk. No butter though for your toast! Good points: Great location, just a two minute walk to the old town Clean, with good quality white linen and plenty of clean white towels Friendly Lots of light in the rooms with large windows/doors, but with black out shutters Free parking right outside Free WiFi Kitchen area was well equipped for longer stays Low points Nothing really, it was everything we needed for a one night stay in Alghero. Some butter and better quality instant coffee perhaps!

Our stay here was fine once we got used to a few things. The location is good; just outside the "historical centre", very close to regional buses and airport bus stop, 3 or 4 minutes walk to waterfront. (NB the beach was barely useable during our stay due to piles of seaweed being heaped up in mounds by dozers!) Our room had a small but sunny balcony. Maria noticed we needed a laundry rack and brought us one; she was also kind enough to print our flight tickets. The apartment is oddly designed - small kitchen/ living area with restricted space - we temporarily moved the kitchen table. The apartment would benefit from a small coffee table and laundry line. Shower is small but bathroom is otherwise spacious - plenty of storage & hooks. Bedroom is quite pokey but has large wardrobe. Bed has a good flat slatted base but we found the mattress a bit lumpy so we put a blanket under the bottom sheet. The south view looks onto a large white prison wall. WIFI was initially problematic but got fixed during our stay. Unfortunately there was work being done on roof terrace (May 2013) so it was unavailable for our use - the terrace was one of the main reasons we booked this particular apartment so we were disappointed but we were not offered any compensation :( All in all: stay here if you want convenience and don't mind too much about the slightly restricted interior layout.
