We are spending three weeks traveling around Sardegna and have pre-booked stops along the way, one of which was Hotel Quasar. About 2kms from the beach (and a good walk) it is run by Isadoro and his family and is one of the cleanest 3star hotels I have stayed in in all of Italy. It is evident that they have spent time and money upgrading the rooms, fittings and common areas and it shows. We had 4 days here and used it as our base to explore around here. Off-street parking, walking distance to other restaurants (if you dint want to eat at the hotel) and a quick ride to the beach. There was a few supermarkets and farmacia close by do really, if you are happy not being in amongst the big crowds of the larger towns, then this is real value for money. We ate at the restaurant few times and it was average but by all means I recommend that you stay here and explore other food options as well.

“Great little family hotel that makes you feel right at home”

My stay at this hotel was the nicest in Sardinia, by far. Mr. Isidoro, the owner, is such a welcoming man, always singing and offering anything from orange juice to coffee everytime he greeted me with a lively "Ciao!!". Always smiling and willing to chat. His wife Ana was also a lovely woman. And the food... delicious! I invited my family who was staying at another hotel nearby over for lunch and they were really amazed, I for myself tasted the best lasagna ever! The hotel is neat and tidy, a few minutes from the beach, and has private parking. On the downside, I could mention three things: there is no elevator, but I got help carrying my luggage; WiFi is very erratic, except at the lobby; and they do not have all credit cards. I made my reservation with Amex, but actually they accepted VIsa. Just make sure you ask that upon making your reservation. But all the same, a wonderful stay.

“A very pleasant stay!”

Half september we stayed for 4 days at Hotel Quasar, which we enjoyed really much. When we arrivered the owner of the hotel came from the kitchen in his cooking uniform to give as a very warm welcome. Half september we stayed for 4 days at Hotel Quasar, which we enjoyed really much. When we arrivered the owner of the hotel came from the kitchen in his cooking uniform to give as a very warm welcome. He even helped us carrying our heavy luggage to the second floor and meanwhile made a lot of funny jokes. In the morning we could sit on the nice porch to have breakfast, but as a dutch farmgirl I missed the cheese. Immediately the owner went into the kitchen and came back with slices of nice cheese and ham! Our contact with the family of the hotel was really enjoyable. We always had a warm 'Ciao' when we left, came back, a chat while eating, drinking or relaxing on the terrace. The room is very neat, clean, modern and nicely decorated, with a balcon for a nice view on the mountain. The hotel is about 8 min. walk from a the beach. On your way you're passing a very nice shop with delicious Italian ice-creams to cool down from your walk. When you enter the beach on your right you will find a bar and terrace with nice staff, where you can enjoy a lovely lunch under the palmtrees.

“Dinner was disappointing”

We went there for dinner and expected a good Italian meal, but it was too simple and average. Staff is friendly. The most disappointing meal was the tiramisu. I had it and it was the same as the one from the supermarket. It was even in a plastic ball. I don't know how a restaurant can serve a desse… more

I had it and it was the same as the one from the supermarket. It was even in a plastic ball. I don't know how a restaurant can serve a dessert like this for about 5 euros.

“Good basis for east coast expeditions”

Family hotel, very pleasant people. Good mood, always singing, smiling. Car park is in the court, it was allowed to wash after the day ride on the sandy roads. Family hotel, very pleasant people. Good mood, always singing, smiling. Car park is in the court, it was allowed to wash after the day ride on the sandy roads. The air condition is a bit loud, so we could not use it night. There are mosquitoes, but we found elekrtical mosquito "killer" in the room, so there was no problem. The beach is far a bit, by car 2 minutes, on foot 15. But the famous Bide Rosa white sandy beach is 8 minutes drive from the hotel. The admission fee in the national park is 10 euros for car and 2 euros for adult. Worth going there. Orosei is 10 km from the hotel, and it is possible to go for different boat excursions to the famous Cala Luna, cala gona, cala sissine beaches. (one day trip is 40 euro/person)
