Fantastic location, close to city center and historical area. Bus and taxis available at all time, close to train station (going to Taormina or Syracuse is very simple). Very friendly and helpful staff. The flat was very clean and well equipped, new and warm. Close to the supermarket. We visited in June, the weather was fantastic the whole time. We really enjoyed our time there! Thank you very much and we wish you good luck for the future :) Claire

I've been living here while on assignment since September, its modern, comfy and affordable......free wifi and parking available....25 minute walk to centre and cafe Magri on the opposite corner.....only downside is this is the hospital district and you will hear ambulances all day and night as they go by sirens wailing but otherwise it's a good place to stay for extended durations

“Great location”

After the first night we asked to move apartment because of the noise from the road, the hospital is just down the road so ambulances were going in all night. The guy on site was really helpful and without hesitation moved us to a quieter apartment. The apartments were ok, just needed a bit of TLC.… more

After the first night we asked to move apartment because of the noise from the road, the hospital is just down the road so ambulances were going in all night. The guy on site was really helpful and without hesitation moved us to a quieter apartment. The apartments were ok, just needed a bit of TLC. Although they were supposed to be no smoking the second apartment smelt of smoke but opening the patio doors and windows eventually took the smell away. The wifi is a bit temperamental but again talking to the guy on site, he was always very keen to get everything sorted to make sure we were happy. The location is perfect to get around and with a bit of love and updating they could be great apartments.

The good : We booked the Residence Rapisardi transfer from the Airport.We were greeted by a lovely young couple and they were very helpful. They took us into the apartment and gave us a map, answering our questions. This was 30 Euros for the car and it's about 3 miles. If you want you can get the 457 bus from the Airport and they do a circular route every 25 minutes. The stop nearest the apartment is Viale, about 20 mins to walk.Cost 4 Euros. We were glad of the car transfer though after our flight. We had apartment P. This was large and very nice with a living area/kitchen, bedroom and toilet/shower. Everything was clean and modern. Lots of wardrobe space. Everything you could want if you wanted to cook a meal, including a hob, microwave,fridge/freezer, crockery and every utensil you could want. Nice touches like kitchen roll and washing up liquid. There is a tv, which we never used and free wi-fi which was good. The air conditioning was excellent. Outside was a roomy terraced area with a small table and chairs. No view but very nice and also private. About three minutes away is a small supermarket. Turn left out of the apartment and ten minutes up the road is a place called Menza - there's nothing like it in the UK. Incredible range of meals on offer at very cheap prices compared to the Via Etnea main drag.Pizzas are upstairs and were fantastic. The walk to Via Etnea is about 20minutes down a slight hill. The not so good: The bed is made of two single beds (quite common in hotels etc.) the problem was that mine, on the right side, had a lean to the middle. I turned the mattress over and it improved a bit. My partner's side was ok but she wouldn't swap! This a problem the owner wouldn't know about unless they spent the night in the bed. The shower worked but the problem was the door - it came off its runners a few times and needs some adjustment. It gave me a fright when it first happened! We were briefly shown how to close the main entrance sliding door but we had a terrible time trying to close it - never seen anything like it in the Uk so it could just be us. We were asked for 9 Euros for the room to be cleaned(and an extra 10 Euros for the City Tax). When the cleaners appeared at 9, I'd gone to collect our rental scooter. My partner asked if they could come back at 11. We never saw them again. Unfortunately, we had the same towels and bedding all week although we did wash them and hang them on the supplied drier. The bin was full to overflowing and we had to leave bottles by the side. When we arrived, the young couple asked when we would be checking out and we said 1.30, there was no indication given that this wasn't ok. On the Friday, I had a phone call saying that we must be out by 11.00 I tried mentioning about the cleaning but couldn't make myself understood. On the wall of the apartment we later found a sign saying latest checkout was 11.00. A bit strange and a bit annoying as we had nowhere to leave our suitcases so had to roll them round the centre before our flight at 16.30.
