We have just returned from a wonderful week staying here. From arrival, the reception staff were only too happy to help and let us check in early (they had also organised a transfer for us from the airport!). This high level of service continued from the reception staff for the rest of the week, helping us with any queries /booking taxis/ ideas of places to go etc. We stayed in one of the bungalows which came with a roof terrace, this was definitely a highlight and we spent many hours up there enjoying the sensational sea and mountain views. The rooms were spotless and housekeeping came round every day to freshen things up. Breakfast was included in the rate, it was a buffet served by a member of staff behind a glass screen which was a great Idea for COVID protection whilst not limiting choice (would recommend the jam tart, delicious!!) . Activities including bike hire, tennis and kayaking were all included in the room rate which was a great touch and almost unheard of in Europe if you are not staying all inclusive - we enjoyed doing an activity each day. There was a large number of sun loungers so getting up early to reserve one was not necessary. Plenty round the pool and also on the decking which provided direct access via steps into the sea. “A great hotel!”

The hotel was amazing! The front gave bad expectations but everything inside, The pool area, breakfastarea, The bungalows and so on were nothing less than perfect. The staff was very helpful and We enjoyed The tenniscourt. It was both a blessing and a curse that the hotel was a bit secluded and located away from The tourist areas. It made The stay more calm, but it required a vehicle if you should shop larmer alpint of groceries. But We had a great stay and would definately recommend it!

The rooms above reception have been renovated. However the bungalows have not. They are in desperate need of an update. The hotel is at least fifteen minutes walk from Mondello beach. It has free and secure parking and a laundry which is a positive. There's a beach and deck chairs included but you need to go down a ladder to enter the water and you won't be able to touch the bottom so you need to be a confident swimmer. There's a pool and tennis court. Beach towels and a pool cap will cost you extra each day. There's a fabulous market / deli across the road if you're on a budget. Judith was the best employee we encountered. She helped us immensely with good tips on navigating Palermo and Cefalu. It's a great spot to take a break in between tours for a rest. Breakfast was ok as well.

During my recent stay at this hotel, I noticed several noteworthy aspects. Among them, Ivan and Antonio, the receptionists in the hotel, stood out. On various occasions, Ivan and Antonio were available and ready to solve any problem with efficiency and courtesy. Their presence was a cornerstone, especially considering the difficulties encountered with the rest of the staff. Unfortunately, the quality of service provided by their colleagues leaves much to be desired. Often indifferent attitude led to issues that could have easily been avoided with a bit more attention and effort on their part. A particularly critical aspect concerns the restaurant staff. Their unwelcoming and uncooperative attitudes towards guests were a constant during my stay, compromising the overall experience. Despite this, Ivan and Antonio were always willing to step in to improve the situation and ensure a more pleasant stay. Change your attitude or change job. Most of the waiters don't even speak or understand english, they are always speaking to eachother with a small ear bud, even when they take your order.. I would like to commend the cleaning service, which was generally excellent. The housekeeping staff was very courteous and performed their duties impeccably. However, there were a few minor inconveniences: there were often loud noises in the corridors early in the morning, which disturbed my rest. and a few ants on my bed.. Additionally, the towels were not inexplicably changed daily, which is a detail that needs attention. Although the room was clean, I noticed that the sheets had some stains, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Unfortunately, the breakfast area was dusty, in contrast to the excellent cleanliness of the room. Regarding security, it makes no sense that the key card allows access through the front door but does not ensure the back door can be securely locked. Additionally, the safe with the metal key was difficult to lock, making the system impractical and insecure. Another point of dissatisfaction was the lack of additional services available at the time of booking. I would have liked to have a bouquet of flowers to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but there were no such options. At least there was a bottle of water in the fridge. We also wanted a room service for dinner which is pretty a must for a 4 stars hotel, which unfortunately could not have. (restaurant guys didn't even want to sell us water...) A further negative aspect was the behavior of the beachside staff. The rules about bringing food and drinks beyond the gate to the beach were not enforced. We were given a cabin to use while waiting for our room to be ready, but the area had a dreadful tavern-like/punk-night club atmosphere, with people taking beers out of their backpacks. When my son entered with an ice cream, he was violently scolded by a staff member in a blue shirt. In conclusion, although the overall service requires significant improvements, Ivan, Antonio and housekeeping staff presence is a positive and valuable element for this establishment. With some adjustments, especially in staff management, cleaning details, a good restaurant management and security, this hotel could offer a much more satisfying experience.
