This will be my new go-to hotel in Siracusa. It's a short walk from the train station and the major bus stop and an easy walk to Ortigia. A number of good restaurants are nearby. The rooms have old-school charm -- simple and comfortable. I was most impressed with the staff. The room reserved for me was up two flights of stairs (no elevator), and when the desk clerk realized that would be a problem for me -- I'm a senior and was nursing a foot injury -- he changed my room to one on the ground floor and didn't charge me more even though the room was more expensive. All of the staff members I talked to were helpful and kind.

A very short walking distance from the railway and long distance bus station. This is an old style property. Check in was OK and a passport details quickly captured for the registration. €2 city tax payable by cash as the room has already been prepaid. Room was OK. Comfortable bed and bathroom in reasonable condition. I left too early to take breakfast which would have been an extra amount. I couldn't use the WiFi and the reception said the code on display didn't work! One bathroom niggle was a dispenser for body wash/shampoo would have been better than the hard to tear open sachets. I'd say not the best value for money based on the price paid.

“Centrally located”

Arrived at about 19.15 without pre booking. Receptionist, who I think is the owner was very helpful. He offered us alot of tips regarding restaurants and Ortigia. Arrived at about 19.15 without pre booking. Receptionist, who I think is the owner was very helpful. He offered us alot of tips regarding restaurants and Ortigia. We parked infront of the hotel in the reserved parking. Hotel is very clean, rooms are big in size. It is situated in an old building without lifts, but he offered to take our bags upstairs. As their was a private party in another building infront, he gave us rooms on the other side of the building so we could have a good night rest. Breakfast wasn’t exactly what we expected, 1 choice of cake, mini croissants, rusks, jam, biscuits and plain yoghurt. Maybe the reason is because he wasn’t expecting us and at this time of year, it’s not that busy. Position is very close to ortigia. In 5 minutes walk you ll be in the Main Street with many restaurants. All in all good priced hotel with a very friendly, caring owner who maked you enjoy your stay.

As i say you get what you pay for apart from i being cheap i would have given it 2. Very small rooms. No lift. Evening staff rude, morning staff helpful. It advertises air conditioning but I could see any in my room. Fortunately not very hot. However the real problem at least in the room i had is lots of street noise. Late at night it is people and cars early in the morning it is trucks
