Very well located hotel, clean and well maintained. The aircon did not cool sufficiently in the hot weather, and I had to request lower temperatures at the desk. Room was well maintained, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The one meal we had at the hotel was excellent. Very courteous and helpful front desk. Parking at the hotel was easy.

I’ve stayed one night at this nice hotel in Grosseto for a business meeting. The hotel is nice and clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and clean as it is the bathroom. I also tried the room service, which was efficient and satisfactory. Breakfast is adequate although the food selection is limited. Business room was nice and well equipped. I can’t comment on the location (i did not move from the hotel except for the airport trip) and on the SPA (unfortunately had no time for it). If you are in Grosseto this hotel may be a good choice.

“A well located basic business hotel”

I spent one night at Hotel Airone on a business trip to Italy 🇮🇹. The location, close to one of the city's main access but not far from the centre, was very convenient and the place was quiet. The private garage was a nice feature. My room was comfortable with a large bed, a desk, a closet, a fixed rack luggage, a flat screen TV and a minibar. Although the room was of a decent size the bathroom was disproportionately larger. It was equipped with a bidet (we are in Italy 😀), a tub shower and a hair dryer. Clearly, no real effort had been made on the decoration. Standard and a bit outdated hotel furniture in the rooms and in the common areas and beige / brownish colours for the carpets and the paint of the walls. I noted some signs of wear in my room highlighting the need for a refresher. I tried to access the spa / pool area on the fourth floor but it was closed early in the morning (8:00 am), which was unpleasant. The breakfast was served in a relatively dark room on the ground floor and was clearly disappointing. No egg station, no fresh fruit juice, very little fruits and overall a lack of options although the cakes and the croissants were good. The check-in and the check-out processes were fast and efficient. It is somehow vain to expect too much from standard business hotels which Hotel Airone is but I will nevertheless try to look for another option in Grosseto.

In my opinion the hotel is a 3+. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I know the room is small 14sqm (economic double) but to put a 1,5 sqm closet in is, at least, illogical. In my opinion the hotel is a 3+. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I know the room is small 14sqm (economic double) but to put a 1,5 sqm closet in is, at least, illogical. You can find another modern solution to use more efficiently the space. The air conditioning is from the last century and it makes a big noise even at low ventilation. Ok the room is small but an economic double not means I have no silence for rest. Also the control electricity panel and air conditioning are not working when I put the key card in, all these are controlled from reception in my case. So if you have this kind of room (309 ) it is correct to repair all these before you ask for money! The breakfast is good for Italian standard , staff friendly, very good coffee 😉.
