A beautiful building in a fabulous location. Please visit! LOCATION: central to everything in Valletta. Please take a stroll to the local shop, it has maltese bread, tomatoes and onion plus much more with an owner who is lovely. Eating out.... go off the beaten track, not the main streets, these are overpriced and not as good as the home the home cooking found elsewhere. Also take to 10 min walk to the Ferry and visit the 3 cities, if u can do a Dark Malta tour please do and also the underground tour in Valletta. THE BUILDING: it's beautiful, giving easy access to all apartments and the two terraces available atop the building which isn't over publicised. If doing the Penthouse or Deluxe Sea View apartment please note you need to be nimble on your feet due to the steps/stairs to the kitchen which makes for an amazing feature but if of a certain age can be challenging... we developed great teamwork! STAFF: it's a small team so you get to see them daily. They seriously cannot do enough to help you. Just ask if you habe any queries or concerns and Maria will answer.

“Great stay in the middle of Valletta”

Stayed in room 108 (Deluxe with Sea View) Pre-arrival communication was very good, including information on accessing the building and checking in. We were able to be dropped off, and picked up, by taxi from the front door of the accommodation. Location - the location is brilliant. Just behind Valletta Food Market, which for us was great as we booked this type of accommodation as it had a fridge / oven so we could do some of our own food. At night it was quiet so we slept really well. Its only a two minute walk back onto the main street through the city. Room - the whole apartment was a really good size. The kitchen / living area was separate from the bedroom / bathroom. It had a really nice balcony overlooking a decent view of the harbor. The only issue was the bathroom was small, I am 6'2 and the door to the bathroom came up to my chin. In the Bathroom, the facilities were fine, but there was limited space / storage. It would have really helped to have some sort of clothes horse to dry the towels. We slept really well at night. The room had really good free Wifi too. Whilst there is a lift in the building, there is a small flight of stairs from the lift to each floor where the rooms are (only 5-6 stairs). Breakfast - we only used the breakfast on one morning as we bought our own and it had it on the balcony. It is served downstairs from the main entrance, but there was a decent selection of food and it tasted good. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting.

“Excellent boutique hotel experience with views”

We took the penthouse apartment in a typical stone built building quirky decor and layout and fabulous views over the harbour. We took breakfast on our private terrace each morning looking out over the water. Staff friendly. Easy access to great restaurants and museums

I recently stayed at here and want to start by clarifying that this is not a standard hotel. It operates more like a high-quality Airbnb, but with the nice addition of a provided breakfast. Keeping this in mind will help set the right expectations. The Highlights: · Breakfast & Staff: The included breakfast was basic but good and adequate. A very nice touch was that they cook eggs on demand to your request. The staff are genuinely wonderful, friendly and kind. On our last day, as we had to leave very early for a ferry to Sicily, they thoughtfully prepared a packed breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. And when we arrived, one of the staff helped us with our luggages as there’s no lift to level. Even if you staying on any floor, you’ll need to go up one short flight of stairs to get to the lift. · Accommodation & Authenticity: The room itself was comfortable and quite spacious. Staying here offers an authentic taste of how locals might live in a traditional Valletta building, which is a unique experience compared to a standard hotel. Points to Consider (Room 102 Specific): We stayed in Room 102. While comfortable, future guests should be aware of a couple of things, especially if booking this specific room: 1. Very Small Shower: The shower is quite compact. I am about 165 cm (5'5") and found it tight. Anyone taller or of a larger build might find it uncomfortable and may want to request a different room with a larger shower. 2. Heating & Hot Water: During our cooler stay, we noticed two things. First, the water heater can be slow, so you may need to let the tap run for a bit for hot water to arrive. Second, because the room is large with only one air-conditioning/heating unit, it can feel relatively cold in the winter. Extra layers might be needed. Overall: This is a charming, character-filled place with lovely staff. The minor inconveniences were far outweighed by the hospitality and authentic experience. I believe it would be a perfect stay during warmer weather. For a winter visit, just pack accordingly and perhaps inquire about room specifics regarding shower size and heating. Who Should Stay Here: Travelers seeking an authentic, guesthouse/B&B experience with personal touches, who don't mind some characterful quirks. Who Might Want to Look Elsewhere: Those expecting full hotel amenities, consistent instant hot water, or who are particularly sensitive to cooler rooms in winter.
