“Great family stay”

Very enjoyable stay for our family of four including two kids under two years. Hotel and staff were very welcoming and accomodating to our needs. Fantastic breakfast and great location with bus stop into the city right at the doorstep.

I stayed at El Ameyal while vacationing in Los Cabos. The room was very large. There was a living room, kitchen area, bedroom (2 full size beds), and 1 bathroom. It was also clean throughout our entire stay. The cleaning crew cleaned daily unless you request otherwise.The people in the front desk were very helpful. There was complimentary WiFi, but it wasn’t consistent (had to have front desk reset router). The pool area was nice, but the jacuzzi wasn’t working during our stay. The landscapers did a great job making sure the pool area was well groomed and cleaned. There’s breakfast offered at the restaurant on site for a small fee. They also have a gym and spa. The amenities offered were nice but not resort quality. If you are looking for a decent, safe, and clean place to sleep at night and explore the city/do adventures during the days this is the place for you! There’s a city bus that picks up directly in front of the hotel (purple and gold bus). It can take you to the airport or downtown (cross the street to go downtown); waaaay cheaper than taking a taxi. There’s also a small food places walking distance from El Ameyal. There’s one directly on the corner of El Ameyal that’s serves food if you want other options. The food market across the street sells goodies, snacks, and drinks for a reasonable price. They also have food there too! Overall, I enjoyed my stay at El Ameyal!

“Great budget choice. Great amount of space.”

Stayed with them on March 6-9 2019 with my sis. We had the suite with 2 dbl beds. The location was perfect for what we needed as we are hardly in the room for most of our stay; however, it was nice to have a fridge, microwave, stove and coffee maker as we used them. Housekeeping does a fantastic job cleaning and all hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. 5 starts to them. CONS-ant problem (keep non refrigerated foods in Ziploc bags/sealed. teeny weeny ants present. Hot water doesn't last long. Internet is almost non existent (if you need to book tours online or make calls it can be challenging). They don't provide wash cloths. The toast for continental breakfast tasted freezer burnt/stale. Just go to Walmart close by and purchase basic items like bread, coffee, cream, butter/jam and snacks. Can hear highway noise--bring ear plugs. Otherwise I would stay here again. Just don't expect the Ritz!!! If you have camped in the past you should be fine here. Bring a sweatshirt to wear around the room as the AC works very well.

We needed a place to stay because our flights didn't match our planned timeshare destination times. I found El Ameyal on Expedia at a reasonable cost for the extra nights. The breakfast was very good and Temo was gracious and accommodating. El Ameyal is located right on the main transpeninsular highway, so the noise level was constantly quite high. Fortunately, the bedroom was on the opposite side, so noise was slightly lowered at night. Tuned out after a while. Still not the best for relaxing. The 1 bedroom suite was clean and reasonably comfortable with a nice balcony and very basic amenities. Many usual items were missing i.e. hair dryer (got one from the office) paper towels, bottle opener, wine glasses, no wash cloths, and only one hand towel. Fortunately we were on the second floor because the elevator failed on the next day and we got extra exercise :-) Checking out was a bit challenging as we bounced or bags down the stairs. The pool is beautiful and with few people staying there, basically our private spot to sit under umbrellas and red. Temo quickly brought drinks and all was good. We heard rumors that the property was going to be torn down and new hotel built. That would explain the general lack of care despite excellent maintenance workers constantly cleaning, watering and trimming. FYI Dona Nata is a wonderful restaurant a short walk east. We went all three nights. Enjoying great food every time. Owner Felipe is a delight.
