The entire Nobu Los Cabos staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Salvador Jimenez, who was our local ambassador during our stay, was extremely thorough in making sure my wife and I had everything we needed along the way. This was our 3rd time visiting Los Cabos but our first time staying at Nobu and you can rest assured that we’ll be coming back to stay again. We also really appreciated seeing members of the landscaping team actively freshening up things around the property, which let us know that Nobu is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the property. Thanks again for the wonderful stay, we will definitely be back.

Where do I begin… Nobu is an absolute dream! I go to Cabo at least two or three times a year and have been doing so forthe last 20+ years. Nobu might be my most favorite day that I’ve had in Cabo. I was concerned about the remote location and it is kind of out there, it’s 25 minutes by car to downtown and I did miss going up to my favorite restaurants the San Jose Del Cabo area. But Nobu is the kind of place where you unpack and feel like you are in a dream and you don’t really need to leave the property. There are so many good restaurants and different pools and different vibes that it’s really worth just staying on the property. The service and food were absolutely top-notch. Salvador and Ted were our butlers and they were amazing every single day checking in, fantastic attitudes, so helpful just everything we could ever ask for we all loved it so much. We are planning a return trip and might even check into the residences . If you’re wondering, maybe you should go… Just do it. It’s well worth it.

We chose Nobu Los Cabos to celebrate our 15th anniversary and paid a premium to come over the July 4th holiday weekend. The property is very pretty and a few things were genuinely excellent, but the execution was hit-and-miss in ways that added up to a frustrating stay. Start with the positives: breakfast at The Restaurant was great every day, and the design and grounds are beautiful. The beach is gorgeous to look at — though be aware swimming isn't allowed, so it's for strolling, not for getting in the water. But the service was inconsistent throughout. We booked an Ocean View room and were given a pool view with only a sliver of ocean — the actual ocean-view room we'd paid for wasn't made available until the day after check-in, which isn't an upgrade, it's just delivering what we already booked. Our "complimentary anniversary upgrade" turned out to be illusory: the only qualifying option was a no-view junior suite priced below our room (not an upgrade by any definition), while ocean-view suites that were available were never offered. The anniversary package also wasn't what it seemed. The food & beverage credit can't be used at the Nobu restaurant itself, and spa services still require paying 35% out of pocket even with the credit. To their credit, they did eventually resend an email showing these terms were technically disclosed — but the details were buried in tiny print and easy to miss, and no one flagged them. The whole place also seems designed to keep you spending on property. Ubers aren't allowed to drive onto the resort — instead you're made to take a taxi (ours appeared to be driven by Nobu staff) just to reach the entrance where your Uber is waiting, so it's an extra $20 simply to leave. Combined with the isolated location, it all has the effect of funneling you into staying — and spending — on site. Two billing/service failures stood out. On our last day we confirmed poolside reservations and were then told they didn't have them. And our final bill didn't reflect the anniversary package rate at all — despite the front desk confirming at check-in that it applied through our last day. The resort was also nearly empty, which made poolside seating easy but left the whole place feeling flat — not the lively, celebratory atmosphere you'd hope for. Ardea, the on-site steakhouse, was overpriced, with oddly large and unappetizing portions. Beautiful hotel, but for a milestone trip at these prices, the misrepresented room, the phantom upgrade, the billing errors, the nickel-and-diming to even leave the property, and the uneven service made it hard to feel taken care of.

Nobu Los Cabos is absolutely gorgeous, and I want to start by saying the staff was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and professional. The service itself was truly a 10 out of 10. That said, I would not return, mainly because the overall experience was not the relaxing luxury getaway we were hoping for. We splurged on an upgraded ocean-view room, but the downside was that we could hear the DJ and pool music all day long. There was really no escaping it, which made it hard to fully relax in the room. The resort also had a very influencer-heavy feel. Everywhere we went, there seemed to be people with tripods taking selfies and filming content, including around the pool and even in the gym. It became distracting and took away from the peaceful resort atmosphere we were expecting. Another issue is that you feel very locked into the resort. Uber is not welcomed there, so your main option is taking a taxi. Leaving the resort costs over $50 each way, which makes it inconvenient and expensive to go anywhere else. We also found the dining options disappointing. In our opinion, the only truly great restaurant was Nobu. We were surprised that there was not another ocean-view restaurant option for dinner unless you were dining at Nobu. Lastly, our bathroom had a mildew or moldy smell when the doors were closed, which was not what we expected from a resort at this price point. Overall, the property is beautiful and the staff is wonderful, but the noise, atmosphere, transportation limitations, dining options, and bathroom issue made it a place we would not choose again. If you are into the Miami or LA experience this is the place for you, if you are into relaxing or romantic stay away.
