We both had an excellent time and really highly rated the hotel and room. It's a perfect location and has a great beach and pool area, especially the adult only pool area which had a level of calmness and serenety. Hector offered great service at the pool and service all round was great. There were a couple of negative points but they would not stop us visiting again. Namely, no coffee making equipment in the room. (come on guys) and the main restaurant did not have great service the day that we arrived. They wanted to help but maybe we caught these guys in training. We did not go back to that one but there are a few other great restaurants (Vela) which was excellent and had truely first class service. Thanks and see you guys next year.

We just completed a three-night stay in the Altamar Suite and came away with mixed but generally positive feelings about Hilton Los Cabos. The Room: The Altamar Suite is spacious and has a modern aesthetic, but don't let the sleek appearance fool you — the furniture and finishes feel budget-conscious up close. For a suite at a property marketing itself as a luxury resort, the room furnishings need a meaningful refresh. Comfortable enough, but not what you'd expect at this price point and category. The Food — The Real Star: Hands down, the best part of the resort. The culinary program here is genuinely impressive, and the quality of food across multiple outlets exceeded expectations. If you're a foodie, you'll leave happy. A Word on Cost: The base room rate is reasonable, but be prepared — this is not an all-inclusive property, and it adds up fast. Every drink, every poolside snack, every meal is à la carte, and the prices reflect a premium resort environment. By checkout, the extras had compounded significantly. If you're budget-conscious, go in with eyes wide open or consider looking for all-inclusive alternatives in the area. Pool Staff: A notable weak spot. Service at the pool was inconsistent and inattentive — a far cry from the hospitality standard the rest of the property sets. For a resort where the pool is a central experience, this needs improvement. The Staff Overall: Despite the pool experience, the broader staff culture here is genuinely warm and professional. Throughout check-in, dining, and common areas, we were consistently impressed by the attentiveness and friendliness of the team. The Spa: Wonderful. My massage was excellent — relaxing, well-executed, and the facility itself felt like a true retreat. A highlight of the trip and worth booking in advance. Bottom Line: Hilton Los Cabos is a solid 4 to 4.5-star property — enjoyable, well-located, with exceptional food and spa offerings. But it doesn't quite hit the five-star mark due to the dated suite furnishings, inconsistent pool service, and the financial sting of a non-inclusive model. Go for the food and spa, manage your expectations on the room, and budget accordingly for extras.
