Just returned from Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Cabo, sixth stay, was a very happy, er, camper. Oceanview rooftop terrace in bldg 700. Get a stress relief massage in the spa with Sandra, she is skilled! Suite includes hot tub so more stress relief there. The unforced kindness here is a blessing especially valued by this older woman traveling solo. Ocean breezes were delightful. Yes it was sunny and hot but did not get up into the nineties so worked well for me. Many food options naturally but when I go to Mexico I don’t want Japanese, Italian or Indian cuisine. I want, and enjoyed huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, nachos, guacamole, tacos, grilled fish, bistec, tres leches and flan. And endless pots of Mexican Hot Chocolate. Plus the occasional pitcher of sangria. Lately I’d been blissing out at Rosewood Kona Village on the Big Island but rates there and flight cost from SFO induced me to look at Las Ventanas which is more attractive both in rates and cost of flights (also faster). Turned out perfectly, return for another sojourn in July.

My most recent clients were celebrating a milestone anniversary, and the team's care and attention were nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I reached out with a series of special requests, Antonio Martinez and Gerson Morales — the suite butler team — handled everything with warmth, professionalism, and an unmistakable commitment to making this trip unforgettable. Their responsiveness was remarkable; they confirmed arrangements promptly, communicated every detail clearly, and proactively followed up to ensure nothing was missed. The requests were specific and personal: embroidered pillowcases with the couple's initials, a private candlelit dinner at La Plaza under the stars, a carefully curated room ambiance complete with a personalized playlist, and a bespoke dessert in place of a discontinued menu item (the chef's Basque cheesecake with red berry compote was a beautiful solution). Every single request was handled gracefully and with genuine enthusiasm. Antonio even sent photos of the room setup before the clients arrived — a small gesture that speaks volumes about the team's dedication. That kind of proactive communication is rare, and it makes an enormous difference for advisors who want to feel confident that their clients are in the very best hands. If you are looking for a resort where the staff genuinely goes above and beyond — not as a formality, but as a reflection of their character — Las Ventanas al Paraíso is in a class of its own. We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to visit luxury properties and have been to all of the five-star resorts in Cabo, yet there is one that rises above the rest, Las Ventanas. Without hesitation this past week was one of the best vacations we have ever had. This property is so special for so many reasons but this time the highlight was Oscar Hernandez, our butler -- the breakfast spread was exceptional each and every morning. His bartending skills were top notch but the biggest compliment I would like to give is about his innate and genuine kindness and he anticipated our needs before we did effortlessly. I could expound on all things Las Ventanas but it is truly about the service. Luxury at its best.
